LA was the worst!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

my poor booboo lexie is sick again. :( Lex my saluki has had allergies lately and it was getting better i thought. i went to brush him the other day and was like wow..thats alot of dandruff. so i took a comb to his fur to see what was up, and his entire back all along his spine from head to hips is full of scabs and he is loosing his fur in chunks practically. he does not seem itchy or bothered much by it but it really worries me :(.

i had some left over spray the vet gave us for his last allergy atk, and i used it, but it just worries me so. it almost looks like mange but there are these weird brown spots too. poor dog..i can feel the bones as if there was no fur left on him. my poor baby just turned 4 also :(

other than that, you would never know anything was wrong with him. i just hope they figure this out.his appt is tomorow at the vet.

LA isn't even close to being the worst. Chicago and Boston (especially Boston) are far worse. n00b :P

I just quoted what the radio stated!

So my husband goes to the dentist, yesterday, to have some old fillings replaced..... and fell asleep in the chair while they were working on him!!! :o Who does that? Freak.

My hubby does it everytime, although he has some permenent loss of feeling in his mouth due to Jaw surgery years ago so he cannot feel anything (his mouth, jaw, some off his face and even his ears) I think it is still weird lol even if you cannot feel, just hearing someone work on your teeth with the constant buzzing sound...ewww lol

I find that almost impossible to imagine - me, I spend the whole time trying not to choke - there is no way I could fall asleep!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I think I've expressed my opinions on LA and it's traffic many times  I've been to Detroit several times and have never found the traffic to be THAT bad. Toronto sucks, but not like LA does. Never been to Boston. I would probably complain about the traffic in DC, but I'd get over it. I'd just make my husband drive :P

Last time I went to the dentist, they decided they needed to put a cap on one of my back teeth, which I guess required some drilling. He said he would need to put a needle in my lip to freeze my mouth and I said NO WAY. I don't do needles well. So I told him to just drill without freezing it. I won't ever do that again!! :wow:

Falling asleep? Seriously? That's crazy.

I worked as a dental hygienist in Canada and I had many clients that would fall asleep while I was cleaning their teeth.....for as long as 45 minutes I would work away while they somehow managed to snore and stay open wide!

What the heck?! So it's not just my husband who's a freak?!! You lot are crazy. I cannot even fathom falling asleep at the dentist's office. I'm too busy trying not to lose it and run out of there screaming.

I don't do needles well. So I told him to just drill without freezing it. I won't ever do that again!! :wow:

OMG, that brought tears to my eyes just thinking about it. :crying:
