Hey wonderland is selling the Jetscream, who wants to go splits on it? :Phttp://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1404

I'm so in!! It's only $150,000, what a steal! Enough people lose their loose change on that ride, it would pay for itself in 50 years or so :P

Whooooo Sounds like fun!! Let's see....$150,000 divided by 3......*hmmmm carry the one....*

I can never get used to the way some of you Canadians write your dates. It drives me up the wall when Mathew puts the date before the month, but I guess I'm just a stubborn American like that. :P When I saw krikit say that Chickaflick wasn't married yet I was like "whhhaaaaa? Looks to me like she got married in January!" :bonk:

hee hee, it's taken me a bit to get used to doing the month first!! Then I thought....HEY... that makes sense. After all, we usually say....June 1st...or December 14th...etc. I don't think too many people..*unless they're lawyers...* say...the 3rd of March.....*unless you're Canadian...hee hee*

Injecting something entirely off topic from the current conversation...

We need a 'hells yes' forum for all those approved and gleeful in the realization that they get their sex life back.

Hey is there a place on here for all the funny Canadian sayings. I didn't realize we had so many till they are commented on by US people.

 I don't care what anyone says, I'm never going to call it "Macaroni and Cheese"!! I refuse.

But will you eat it as a side dish? Mathew refuses lol. He says it's an entire meal only.

Good news! Tristan's biopsy reports came back and he doesn't have cancer so now that he has had the bad teeth removed and his mouth is healing, he's good to go . He's doing great, btw - now that he is off the antibiotic. He was having a reaction to the second anti-biotic as well but now it is out of his system he is back to normal. Phew :) .

The date thing was really hard for me at first! Trying to train my brain to do month/day/year, opposed to day/month/year. Not quite as hard as remembering to say "zee" instead of "zed" however. Every now and then I say "zed" instead of "zee," at work and get some really awkward silence from the person on the other side of the phone

Speaking of which, I was talking to an old grumpy man on the phone the other day, and in the middle of the conversation he says, "you're Canadian!" I paused for a second and said I am, then I asked him how he knew. He said, "you said "about" funny!" So apparently I say "about" funny...

me too! Out, about and sorry are apparently the words that some people can tell on. Most people can't though which leads me to believe some people listen really hard to me once they know I'm Canadian so they can do that stupid "oot and aboot" thing.

Oh my....don't get me started..."about...out...garage...process...drama....pasta...decal" that's just a few..

I've always said "zee" so no problem there, and I very rarely say "eh" but it does happen

I've also noticed I'm hanging around these Southerners too much, as I think I've picked up their accent on a few words.... *I don't mind that much..really... hee hee

But I love my Canadianess about (aboot) me! I like it when I'm talking with someone, and suddenly they'll smile, and say "oh..there's that cute accent!"

I don't even mind the aboot, and oot thing anymore! :) I quite enjoy this part of the adventure...

Yes my husband likes to mention my words on occasion, about, out, couch, around, are just a few that i can think of. I remember when we first chatted on the phone and I had said something about the noise (my balcony was being redone) and he made me repeat a word like 12 times he laugh so hard and said he loved it. So then I made him explain the difference from US to them. I still dont think I have an accent but then again there are words that he says that makes me see a tad of an accent in him too.

My husband does the same thing! There are certain words that I apparently say funny, and he always asks me to repeat them, and laughs like crazy. His favorite is "pillow." Apparently I say "pallow" and it's just hilarious to him. I can't help it!

See I don't get all that fun with Mathew. That silly quebecer doesn't say any of the funny Canadian words. Doesn't stop my uncle from asking him what's that aboot though, lol. He just cusses in french and sometimes he'll talk to me without realizing that he's not doing it in english, but that cracks me up every time. He'll look at me for like 30 seconds, waiting for me to say something back and then all of a sudden he'll realize that I didn't understand a word of it! ;p

I'm going to the Philadelphia Eagles game today. We're in the lower level at the 50 yard line.. I hear those are good seats. I don't understand football, I don't really like football, but I am SO excited to go to this game because I have heard that Eagles games are hella fun. :D
