RED ROBBINS! (yum!) lol. Their food is good, I had a chicken pesto sandwich there that was killer! I've been told I need to goto a place called The Counter, apparently its pretty good as well. We shall see. I worked at Harvey's for almost 2 years and yet I still can't get enough of their food. Its already been decided that when we go back for a visit our diet will be primarily Harvey's and Ice Caps.

the teriyaki chicken burger is really good too... I might have mentioned this before but if you sign up with their E-Club you get a free burger and fries on your Birthday...

I thought Red Robin burgers were just ok. They aren't that expensive. The best burger in the world, hands down is a place called The Hitching Post. It is in Buellton California, which is like 50 miles north of santa barbara. It is a fairly expensive steakhouse and prime rib restaurant and they are good. What makes their burger exceptional is that their burger is made from the scraps from filet mignon steaks. It isn't on their menu and you can only actually order it if you sit at the bar on Monday or Tuesdays.

well to me 10 dollars for a burger and fries is not cheap when you can go to a fast food place like the Burger Depot and get a burger, fries and a drink for around 5 bucks... :P

and yes I am well aware that there are more expensive burgers out there

Best hamburgers ever----fresh made hamburgers by my grandma on the farm!! They were the best!! Victoria had a Red Robin and they were good. There are a lot of great burgers to be had, with each with their own preference. 1 place I was throughly looking forward too--then extremely disappointed with was , Elevation Burgers here in the DC area! Lot of hype, but for me, thats all it was--hype! Guess they are "organic" I found they had very little flavor, and the only thing big about them was their price!! fries were good as i recall, not as good as 5 Guys fries!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Cat Cora even chose this as the best burger shes ever eaten on that Food Network show "The best thing I ever ate"

Its not far from me actually (20-30 min drive), I should go there sometime...

Huggles, if you are looking for a giant burger rather than just a normal sized one that tastes good, try Fat Burger. Their king burger is enormous (and very good too).

Yeah! Fat Burger is great! I normally go for a regular Fat Burger, because the Kings are jumbo, but I like that they're all thick and juicy. I'm not into really thin lame patties.

Red Robin had this promotional burger about a year ago that had pepperonis and mozzarella sticks in it. It was so huge and was like a heart attack in a bun, but it was great! I was sad when they took it away.

Hey wonderland is selling the Jetscream, who wants to go splits on it? :P

http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1404

I'm so in!! It's only $150,000, what a steal! Enough people lose their loose change on that ride, it would pay for itself in 50 years or so :P

LOL, The Habit isn't just local, it started in L.A. and are all over California.

I didn't like Harvey's, at all. The burger itself was dry, and it wasn't that tasty.

We must be talking about a different Habit. The one I'm talking about started in Goleta (which is attached to Santa Barbara). At least that's what they claim.

Injecting something entirely off topic from the current conversation...

We need a 'hells yes' forum for all those approved and gleeful in the realization that they get their sex life back.

I can never get used to the way some of you Canadians write your dates. It drives me up the wall when Mathew puts the date before the month, but I guess I'm just a stubborn American like that. :P When I saw krikit say that Chickaflick wasn't married yet I was like "whhhaaaaa? Looks to me like she got married in January!"

That's probably why Mathew does it almost constantly. Silly Quebecers. But I'll forgive him since I love the way he talks. He could probably call me every name he could think of an I'd still be all moony from just listening to him.
