Yea I told my son too: "If you don't get up tomorrow morning, I will NEVER let you stay up again!"

I went into his room to wake him up, he wasn't there, he was already up in the living room watching more more ESPN highlights, dressed and all. "See mom, I'm up!"

so I have decided to clean the whole place form top to bottom, in all the cupboards etc... not sure why I decided to do this... it would be so much easier if I was more of a clean freak...

my parents are coming in a few weeks and my mom is a clean freak so I want the place to be somewhat presentable when they are here :P

so I had my appointment with the liver specialist today.. the doctor was really nice and explained everything to us.. I don't need liver surgery for right now.. they are going to keep an eye on the mass though... but the type of mass I have has 0% chance of becoming cancerous...

he said that I was probably born with it and that there is a very small chance my birth control could have made it get bigger...

I still probably need gall bladder surgery but the recovery time is a lot shorter with that...

Marilyn,

That is such good news! The fact that you were probably born with it and that it is 0% chance of becoming cancerous must be very reassuring. Gall bladder surgery is pretty common so as difficult as that will be, at least you know it isn't something unusual to worry about. I so happy everything is working out now.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

This typo really gave me my laugh for the day.

My husband has been thinking about a new BBQ (I guess they call them grills here :) ) for Father's Day. So today I get this text from his 21 year old son:

Hey...any idea on what I should get my dad for fathers day? I was thinking maybe like a new girl or something like that, I thought I heard him say his was acting up.

 that's funny!!!

I like the kitten video too!

Got back from PA last night, and I think I could move there! What a pretty part of the world, and the temperature was great. Not to hot, not to cold. Tim said though it was unusual weather for that time of year. Should have been a little warmer than it was, I guess. I know I'm back in the South though...humidity...ugh.

Ironically, while we have no kids, I still ended up getting a grill on Father's Day.

(Before anyone asks, no -- while Yvonne and I had some fun with the coincidence on Facebook and Twitter yesterday, this is not a sly way of her "telling me something.")

so the original plan was for the hubster and I to fly up to Canada for 2 weeks in July but that didn't work out. Then my parents thought about renting a cabin in Northern California or the South/Central Coast of Oregon and we would drive up and meet them there but then I thought I needed liver surgery etc .. so my parents said they would drive down and spend a few days here but now that I don't need liver surgery, I have been thinking that it might be nice to spend a few days away in a cabin by the ocean...

only problem now is that most of the cabins are booked up .. my dad's basic two requirements were, it has to have ocean views and it has to have a hot tub... I have found a couple that are within our price range or should I say, "my parent's price range" and have ocean views and a hot tub.. so we just have to wait and see what my parents think...

Omg, Marilyn that pig is a hoot! Love it!

Score on the BBQ or "grill" Pauley. I keep trying to convince my husband he needs one... I'd love him cooking once and a while, no matter how he does it :P

:D I live in a beautiful part of the country. Only problem is I can't find a job.

Marilyn, Good to hear about the mass. And I LOVE the pic in your signature.

So I got back last night. I think I need a vacation from my vacation. I'm also all "kid'ded" out. Meaning I saw enough babies, toddlers and kids on my trip to last me about 2 years. Great form of birth control!

My mom just emailed me to say that there was an earthquake... so I looked on twitter and apparently a 5.5 hit Ottawa... and the rest of Eastern Ontario felt it too.

Upstate NY is also saying they felt it.
