I'm gonna skip right over the TMI sex story, though it is hilarious.... LOL Sorry Reven...

But here's my vent, related to all the baby talk happening. So, today I did this tweet (which referenced a recent job interview that my husband had, and me getting EAD, and AP, and expecting AOS shortly): "This week and month could bring some interesting things for Dan and I. Hopefully the first one is a job for him. *waiting*" and a friend of mine from London DMs me saying "What's the other interesting thing...a small last name as well??" so then I says "Hell F'ing NO, and don't ever say that again.".

Which leads me to my vent. lol We've been married for less than 5 months.. and frankly as far as I'm concerned, didn't even get to have a real wedding.. and I don't have a job! And my husband doesn't even have a job! And we've only known each other 2 years anyways... AND there's about a billion things I want to do in life before having a baby, not to mention TRY to enjoy being married (which, honestly, has been hard to do in our current financial situation)... I don't care that I'm 29 yrs old and my clock is ticking. Just because I'm married, doesn't mean a baby is arriving ASAP, if AT ALL for that matter. GAWD I HATE THAT STEREOTYPE.... ok done. mad.gif

I know what you mean. My husband and I get the same thing. I don't really think we're going to have more kids, I mean I don't really think it's in our cards right now, maybe one day... but maybe not. It's not even one of my focuses. I have a child, yes from a previous relationship, but I don't want more. Every time we have a family get together his family is asking us 'when the baby is coming' and every time we say: 'never'... and every time there's a long awkward silence afterwards... haha. It's like some people don't see you as truly married until you've popped out a few kids... I just don't see it that way.

For the longest time i swore i would not have kids. Many reasons influenced this decision alot of it based on my family morales or lack thereof. Basically i figured i'd be a horrible mother, and didn't want to bring up a child the way i was brought up.

Now that David and I are finally together, things have changed, and so have I a bit. Unfotunately i think it's possibly too late. i'm going to be 37 this winter, and we can't seem to get pregnant still. We have been trying over a year:( Soon as we have a few bucks we are going to go to the doctor and see if theres a reason why or not. Kinda why i stayed away from the baby thread.

Oh Kim, I really hope the doctor is able to do something for you and your husband.

About babies, I can honestly, say I am NOT ready...but I'm about 12 weeks pregnant. I'm only 20, there is so much I want to do, and I feel like it's holding me back...I feel like a bucket full of regrets, but I'm trying to make the most of it. Sorry for complaining.

I know I'm probably weird wanting another baby, since i do have 4 soon to be all teenagers but I really do. I had a tubal reversal and it was not successful. Found out after a year of trying. Turning 37 here too and it bugs the ####### outta me that the only way we can do this is through IVF, getting pregnant was always easy for me. I just had to think of a baby and I was pregnant, so this is really hard for me. My clock is ticking and its so loud I can't think straight any more. Anyways I was told since I have had successful pregnancies that it ups my chances for IVF. But who has 15-20K lying around for something that may not work.

Kim, maybe you just need a little something to help you ovulate more ofter, that would nice and simple to help. I would assume hubby dearest was never checked either eh.

I"m pretty sure it's me and not hubby..since his ex gf before me got accidentally pregnant..and then terminated the pregnancy.. which i guess is another reason i want a baby..and i mean i just know david will make a wonderful father with his sense of humour, patience with me and my emoness and the fact that sometimes he acts just like a big kid. hehe i already know i'm a be the stern one and he's gonna be the one that says " did you ask your mother first?" LOL.

Congratulations, Bern! The nice thing about having babies at a young age is that you will still be really young when they are grown up and gone. It's like you get to live a second life! And everyone will think you're their sister. lol

Babies huh.

My husband keeps trying to bring up the "When we have kids" thing into alot of conversations. I just don't have the heart to tell him I don't want children... well he sort of knows, but he thinks I'm joking or something. Honestly, his debt's holding us back on just about everything. I don't see how he can think about having kids when he's not even responsible enough to pay off a debt.

Thanks Kritkit, that's definately one thing to look forward to, that they'll be out when I'm 40...but still, I had such dreams. =[ I wanted to go to college, I know I still can, but it'll be postponed. I just feel like I grew up too fast now, and I still feel terrible for leaving my mom behind (she did the same thing though, she left her family to immigrate to Canada and marry my dad.)

I think it's just one of those days, haha.

Thats exactly how I see it. I was 20 when I had my son. You know what? He's almost 12 and by the time I'm 40 he'll be (hopefully) out of the house and living his life. This is partially the reason I don't want more kids now, I want to travel and do things that I didn't get to do ini my twenties. Oh and I went to college... twice.. got a diploma in early child hood education and one in advertising, it's hard but it's not impossible. You will be fine!

Besides I'm not too old and I am pretty much down with all the lingo and all that is cool. Or so I like to think. :P

Yes, it's definitely one of those days. ((((((hugs))))))

Stop carrying the guilt of leaving your Mom. It's what you're supposed to do. Imagine if your kids never left you? OMG. You'd kill them. lol. I do know what you mean, though. It can be tough some days. But you'll both adapt and work with the circumstances. Besides.... you never know what's around the corner. Enjoy the moment because you don't know the future.

Yes, you can still go to college. Don't wait for "some day". Start taking online classes and/or nightschool. If you chip away at it slowly it'll get done. Then one day you'll suddenly realize you have a degree. If you postpone it you will find yourself a few years down the road and no further ahead. Trust me on this.

Thank you Sprailenes, I needed to hear that. To be honest, I think I'll stop at one too. Thank you. =)

Sorry to open that can of worms Bern *hugs*

If the situation in my life was different, I'd probably want to have kids younger, because I do agree about the advantages of being young when your kids are young. Either way, I completely agree with everyone who's said you can still go to school, and don't give up! :) You honestly can do it. And Kritkit's right.... definitely start up as soon as you think you can, and don't put it off. I've been wanting to go back to school for 5 years now, and aside from a few courses here and there, I haven't been able to. So, here I am reaching 30 and most of my 20s have been a complete waste. At least when you reach 30 you can have a beautiful child to look at and be like 'woo hoo! look what I did!' lol ;)

And don't forget our discussions about friends who seem to be stuck in their teens. Tis better to grow up too fast, than not to grow up at all.
