GAAAAAHHHHH @$)%*&@!$)%!

So, I just typed out a huge rant about a friend that's really been angering me the last couple of weeks.... but I'm not posting it. So, really I don't need to post this message at all. But I am anyways.

Here's to venting about friends that piss us off. Cause really, ####### IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. And if there is a god, he's a dummy for making people such selfish dinks who hate each other so much and are incapable of seeing each other's point of view.

YEAH, I SAID IT.

LOL oh god. sometimes I hate Facebook for that reason. It turns drama queens into drama queens that can share their drama with even MORE people who don't want to hear it.

So this weekend we were supposed to go to the shore for fathers day. I knew this was coming up, and prepared to go down on Sunday with my husband to celebrate the hallmark holiday with his family. Well today my husband asks me: "Do you want to go down tomorrow to spend the night?" You're asking me this today? No I don't want to spend the night, I told him this last week but he's asking me again anyways.

Then he showed me this email his mother sent him telling him: "You never come down, your father is always so disappointed, please discuss this with us, we bought that place so that family could spend time in it, yet you never come down"

First of all, when they bought that place everyone but my husband knew about it. I was living with them at the time and their dining room began filling up with shore decor items and my husband asked at dinner: "Did you guys buy another place? Sorry no one told me anything so I don't know" and his mother barked: "Now you know how it feels not to know anything!" So I find the "family" argument a little amusing.

Second of all, we go down. We may not ALWAYS spend the night, but I don't see why we have to.

We went down for my husbands birthday where my BIL decided to only stay for one night and leave before my husbands birthday dinner because he wanted to hang out with his friends. This was NO big deal to me but it was something I noticed. Most of the time he leaves family functions too to go do something else... again I just notice it.

Yet my husband, who is at every family function gets reprimanded because he doesn't spend the night down there? Really? I mean come on! We're freaking adults here, why must we have reasons for not wanting to spend the night at the shore?

Anyways my husband is now going down tomorrow to please his mother, and I'll go down on Sunday to spend the day there for Father's day.

I just think it's so ridiculous that no matter what we do, she always has something to say and doesn't even seem to appreciate the fact that we live close by and attend every other family function.

Not much of a vent but its annoying and very irritating. I seem to developed a rash from my wrist to my shoulders. It started as a small rash the inside of my arms, and now it has spread. It is very itchy and kinda patchy. I have tried benadryl and such and it really doesn't do much. I haven't gone to the doctors cause I now they wont be able to do much but tell me its an allergic reaction to something. And then try and give me a shot. I don't like needles so it wont happen. They will most likely ask me want allergies I have and well that is when the fun will start. I have been tested a few times and I'm pretty much allergic to everything and I'm not exaggerating. Everything they tested for I was allergic to it and big time not just a mild reaction. I have food allergies according to the test too, and I have not been avoiding those foods. I was tested 2 years ago, and the test before that was about 18yrs ago no food allergies then.

Anyways I was thinking that maybe since they use different preservatives here and feed just about every type of animal corn, that maybe my body has had enough and can no longer deal with the corn allergy. When we moved here I started gaining weight real fast like scary fast, like 30lbs in a few months. The worst part is I'm eating healthier then I did before we moved. I do all the cooking we don't eat out alot. I don't like alot of foods so I make it hard to eat out. So now I have to eliminate my food allergies and that pretty much means everything. Its the only thing I can think of and I need to do something this has been going on for almost a month now.

I'm so sorry you have going through this Danielle :( ,

When I moved down here I gained weight as well and didn't lose it until last year. Part of the problem is that virtually everything here has high fructose corn syrup in it - empty calories. I found out it was even put in milk! Now, I read every single label and if it has HFCS it remains on the shelf. Since it is a corn product that also causes weight gain, you may find that paying close attention to labels will be able to eliminate a lot of that from your diet. The other thing that is different here is that they use different food dyes in products than they do back home. Some of the aniline based food dyes are known to cause allergic reactions similar to the ones you are describing. These appear in all sorts of products where you don't always expect them, so you may find that any commercial products with HFCS and food dyes are over-stressing your system and causing these reactions.

Going through a food elimination diet may help you determine if there is one thing more than another that is causing the extreme reactions as well. Anyway, good luck at getting it sorted out and I hope you return to a better state of health soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
