I am now preparing to submit I-129 for K1 Visa. Did anyone add phonebills as proof of evidence at that stage? I know you need it at the interview. I have a years worth of cellphone bills with incoming call and texts messages. Should I submit the full bill or just a few pages out of the bill? Any suggestions are Welcome. Thank you.

All of those items are indeed important. Keep them and keep track of everything going forward. There is a guide here on VJ that kind of lays it out for you on what you will need just ot submit the I-129...

That should really be helpful to you. Be sure you make copies of your final package before you send it off to USCIS. Let me know if you have any other questions...maybe I can help...IM me.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us...

For your initial petition you can front load but really all that they want to see is you have met in person within the last two years (photos, passport stamps, hotel reciepts- something in that regard). Its good you have it when you are blessed with an interview at accra to have the evidence, but for the petition its not needed....

I had photos and passport stamps and was approved with no issue except i didnt check a box! Make sure you check the yes or no for criminal whatever the question is! these was two of us in this group of ghana petitions who got the RFE recently!

Get ready for the fun accra ride....

Thanks. I am good with all the paperwork and I will make sure to double check all the forms. I have already prepared myself for the ride! lol

Red Flags: could be previous marriage on a k-1, multiple marriages, large age difference, how you met (marriage brocker vs in person vs online), children, criminal records anything in that area for some ideas. Not all of these are really red flags- but if you have some you would need to start gathering the evidence that you need now.

I thought i had checked everything- even had someone else check the papers and we both missed that one!!!!! Just trying to help out ;)

Let me know if there is anything else. I am more then willing to help out- hopefully in a few months will also have medical and other information to share as will others.

Take care!

Thank you for yor speedy response. :-) Very helpful info. The only one we may have to worry about is age. I dont think it major but I am a few years older. What do they consider a large age diff? Does it count if he looks older than me? hehe!

Being a few years older isn't always a bad thing unless you are above child bearing age and he has no children.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Like a 20 year agae difference. They have been approved but they will be questioned more. If its only a few years then you should not have an issue. Look up age difference there are a lot of forums on it on here.

What niageraorbust said does not seem like something that the embassy would bring up (correct me if wrong) its more of a culteral thing. The embassy doesn't care if you want, have, already have children.

The embassy uses things that are against local culture as a sign the relationship isn't valid. African men are normally expected to have an heir. If the woman is too old to produce a child then it seems more apt that this is just a green card relationship and the man will leave once he has what he wants. There are other things that will show up. The thing you want to show is that you have a relationship accepted by both families as much as possible.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
