Hello

I'm pablo from colombia and I'm beneficiary, I'm going to take my medical exam soon and I'm afraid, I have not big healthy problems I am HIV negative and no tuberculosis which I read are the main reasons for a visa deny, but I have high pressure sympthoms and I was check by the doctor and I'm going to begin a treatment and I am taking a deabetes test too, my question is do you think high blood pressure or deabetes can be reason for deny of the fiance visa? I will start a treatment do you think I should take a paper telling them I am in treatment? I am really scare this will make me not get the visa, I would appreciate your help with this.

I don't know for sure, however I think the USA is looking for contagious disease, not illness.

Correct - diabetes & high blood pressure would not be reasons to deny the visa. ETA: You also shouldn't need to take any kind of paper saying that you are taking treatment. I don't even think they tested my husband for any of these things at his medical exam in Kenya...

hi there,

high blood pressure and deabetes are not reasons to deny a visa. I do not remember if the doctor in Bogota asks for these diseases, but if you're going to start treatment before the interview, IMO, is a good idea if you bring a paper saying that you're in treatment.
