Can VA disability compensation be included as an income on the form I-864 ?

Hello friends,

My husband makes around 14k a year in taxable income and gets 8k in VA compensation .He has around

15 k in student loans and debts.Can he include this VA compensation as an income in filling the

form I-864 for a household of two ( $18,202 ) or we would have to go with a co- sponsor ? If we

could include money from the VA as an income would a letter from the VA stating that he gets 8k

a year enough or he would need more documentation ? I have a friend who could be a co sponsor but

we really don't know what to do in this situation .Could we include VA disability compensation as an income on I-864 ? or should we go with a co-sponsor ? Thanks in advance.... we are filing for adjustment of status and i'm already in the US ......Guys plz confirm, i need to start my paper work.Thanks a lot in advance....

Yes you can use the VA compensation. Use the letter that the VA sends out each year to document the amount of the income.
