The NOA date for our I-130 is June 25th and the paper work is being dealt with in California.

How do you guys know if your file has been touched?

I check the status of our file at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do but it never seems to change !!

Tina, I think Chennai U.S consulate is an exception. They take a validity of 6 months for PCC. But I think rest of the Indian Consulate takes 1 year validity. Loto

Have you went on the uscis website and set up an account? Once you do that you can enter your recieot number into your info and you can go back in to your account whenever you please and see if it has been updated, that's what it means by "touch" Though it seems having your account touched lifts spirits, but it doesnt mean you must have touches, do not get upset if your case has not been "touched" I have seen many stories of no touches and approval before a touch even shows up, so Ahmed and I do not look at the touches we look at our timeline to be our guide and we know we have atleast 5 months to hang in there! I'm VERY happy to announce that as of yesterday, 9/30/10, my I-130 was approved!

I received a text message and an e-mail from the USCIS announcing the approval.

On to the October NVC thread!!!!
