I got an update on my AOS today, just saying that it has been transfered to a USCIS office, so I am not sure what that means. I think that usually if you are going to have an interview they will specify that the case has been transfered to a specific office. And since an interview was supposed to be waived due to me no longer being able to travel (and the fact having a baby is pretty solid evidence of a bona fide marriage!!) I have no clue why it would be transfered

I haven't posted in forever, since I haven't been on here much, but I felt compelled to update you so others can get some idea about timelines. I was previously under RebekahRN04.

So here is my journey so far:

May 27 - Mailed packet to USCIS (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

June 1 - Received text/email NOAs on all forms

June 7 - Received hard copy of NOAs

June 23 - Touch I-131, I-765, I-130

August 8, 9, 10, 11 - Touch I-131, and I-765

August 10 - AP approved (text/email)

August 16 - AP received in mail

August 27 - Received Biometrics letter (dated 9/27/10) Could not do walk in, Baltimore does not accept these

September 27 - Biometric appointment, touch on I-485, and I-765 approved/card production ordered (text/email)

September 28 - Touch 1-485

October 4 - Touch I-765

October 7- EAD received

October 22 - Interview letter received, scheduled for 11/23/10 @ 9am

November 23 @ 9AM - Interview

There it all is :) Took me forever to get my biometric appointment, however the Baltimore office is backed up. My EAD that I received was dated 8/9/10, so looks like they approved it back in August but couldn't do anything until I had the biometrics done.

Now I am getting ready for the interview, and praying that I will be able to be more thankful than I have ever been this Thanksgiving.

Thanks to all of you for your updates and helpful posts!

.. Still no letter or approval / denial or online status change since my interview on Sept 17th. It sucks when the IO asks you to wait 30 days, then when you contact Uscis, they ask you to wait another 61 days.. it's so frustrating..

tried calling uscis for a service request this morning. gosh it's really fun to start your day by being reduced to tears of frustration. :( suffice to say if you filed for AOS from marriage don't bother calling. they said they can't do anything, that the 4 month processing is for employment-based only, and that all we can do is wait. and that the family-based AOS would take 6-12 months. And that even though folks who only filed in Sept are already getting their green cards, you have no right to feel like it's not fair.

on an odd totally unrelated note, i just noticed the k-1 app got "touched" on Sept. 11. weird.

hey i did my AOS from K-1. I asked for service request on friday and got it when i called in second time. It just depends on the person who picks up. The first guy was like we cant do service request blah blah. When i called second time a good lady picked up and she just wnet ahead and did it asap. So i would say....keep trying. best of luck

Yea weird stuff is that ours must be getting looked at by the same person lol. Since our K-1 was touched on 9-11-10 and our last AOS touch was on the 8-6-10. We put in the service request on Friday also since it's out of the time range.

I wonder if people get their K-1 file touched during the AOS.
