Which city, if you don't mind? What time did you go? Thanks!

We're in NYC - our original appt was for the Woodside office, but they definitely (well, according to user reports here) don't take walk-ins. After some more research on VJ, i found that some folks were successful on Wednesdays at the Manhattan office. So we decided to go for it and it went great! :)

Edited to add - we arrived just before 9am. it was not at all busy yet. It went super quickly!

Ok, i am confused now.... I thought those will be the "evidence" to bring to the interview? Oh, well, it's too late for me to include those documents - i've already sent the package. :(

finallyfree, i wouldn't lose any sleep over it - i think most of us only sent what proof was required (marriage certificate). I didn't find much evidence of folks on VJ doing any preloading in the AOS package.

Don't worry, if you only included your marriage certificate with your packet then you'll just be prompted to present evidence of a bona fide marriage to your interview. You will most likely have to present more evidence than someone that included it with their application since they don't have anything on file though.

:)

Aya

We included our marriage certificate, 2 sworn affidavits, and a photo with our packet.

You do not have to "front load" an AOS application if you are adjusting from a K-1 status. There is absolutely no reason at all to send any evidence of a bona fide marriage with this type of adjustment, because you just spent the past 5-7 months or more proving that you had a bona fide relationship with your fiance(e) to get approved for the K-1 visa. IF you are asked to appear for an interview, that would be the time to take evidence of your marriage. Everyone should have sent a copy of their certified marriage certificate with the AOS package.

You are most welcome! There is a plethera of information here, and it has seriously been nothing but helpful for John and I. I'm sure that we would have flubbed something up had we not found VJ!

Let's see ... to do your timeline... go to the box up at the top right corner that has your user name, and there is a drop down box (the arrow). Find "my timeline (add/edit), click it and it will take you to a new screen. At the top of the new screen, you will find Add / Edit Timeline .... click that, and it will take you to a page that looks like this ... VisaJourney Timeline Login Page

Your VJ Member Account has been automatically validated (you are logged in to the Forums).

To assist you in remembering your timeline login we have partially entered the email address you used

to create your timeline with (this may be different than the email you used for the forums).

Please complete the email address and click the Add/Edit button.

your login email looks like: be... @xxxx.com

Add your email to the "email address box" and then click add/edit my time line, and then add your time line.

Wow, that seemed kinda redundant, but hopefully you will get the idea :) Let me know if you need further help! It REALLY helps everyone on VJ for all members to enter their timelines because that way we can get good guestimates on how quickly the USCIS/DOS are processing peoples applications. :)

Good luck to you on your journey!

Don't worry too much about the evidence. You'll probably have to present them at the interview.

Worst case senario now is RFE, which I don't think that'll happen!
