Our green card hasn't arrived yet like I thought it would. We did get the Welcome to America letter but it did tell us it could take up to three week for the GC to arrive. By the latest that could be by the 15th of October. Oh well, we're not in any hurry right now but everyday we're eagerly checking our mail. tongue.gif

The funny part Olivia, My husband got his appproval for green card last week, then I told him it might take 2 o 3 weeks, we got the email of card production on Thursday and Sat the card in the mail box!!

I told him the Green Card office seems to be hidden next door :)

It was a very smooth ride for us, no RFE and less than 3 months of getting EAD an GC.. time to help him find a job ..

I sent an e-mail to the congressmans office this afternoon asking them to look into my EAD. They had told me before that it had already been approved, and it was just waiting for my biometrics to issue the card. I had my bio appt almost 2 weeks ago now and no updates. I know of a few other people who have been in the same boat, and have got a status update/e-mail stating card production order on the day of their bio appt or the day after!! So I am not sure why I have not seen any updates.

oh oh, hold the boat... after rechecking the website another 15 times or so, the site now indicates the following:

On September 30, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283

Anybody care to translate what's going on???? Thanks

I look up ADIT processing. It means your GC is approved but you may need additional processing if the approval letter tells you anything. It will give you instructions that your biometrics may need an update or they need a new picture of you. Some people get this notice and there are no additional processing instructions and then they get the GC in hand with no problem.

Thanks for the info, seems you're right. Like I meant to say earlier, the website posted Green Card Production and then later changed to the Decision tab.

The same thing happened with us. It posted the approval and then went to the decision tab. I seems to revert back to that as the final point before receiving the green card in hand. I think it should be a few days now for you even though it said it may take up to 60 days.

After our EAD and AP got approved we have been checking the USCIS website for any updates on AOS every day. We have been getting touches on both EAD and AP EVERY DAY (even after the applications got approved) and nothing on AOS until today.

I had to give USCIS a call this morning to see what was going on with the touches on EAD and AP. I asked the representative if it could be that their website might be acting up and all the touches are for AOS and not EAD and AP. She could not answer me and told me that she would have to forward my call to a 'more experienced' representative. Anyways, the more experienced representative said the same info I already knew about all three cases.. And I told her: "I am just confused..we have been getting touches on already-approved cases and nothing on AOS.. I just want to know if we have any interview date or if our case got forwarded to CSC.. We do have to travel soon and everything is up in the air.." The representative then re-verified my birth date, birth place, and current address..and then told me: "You have an interview date on November 1st." Then I asked her if what I heard was correct and she confirmed.. I said thank you..and she just ended the call!! (Didn't end it like USCIS representatives usually do by asking you if you would like them to repeat anything or if you have any more questions and thanking you for calling USCIS)...

I was so excited to know that we have an interview date, however skeptic since we did not receive any online update, email, or an interview letter. But we just checked our mail a few minutes ago and the letter just arrived!!!!!!

We do have an interview date on November 1st, 2010 at 1:30 pm!!! I so can't wait to get this process done and over with!!!

Two AP documents arrived in the same envelope yesterday in the mail! Did everyone receive two of them as well?

I, also, have a question for those who received their GC's.. Is your picture on your GC one of the passport pictures you submitted with the initial application, or the picture that was taken in your biometrics appointment, or did they take your picture on your interview date (if you had one)?
