I wonder how Young Love's interview went? I just remembered it was re-scheduled 2 days ago. I hope it went well, Young Love!

Sorry for the late review, my internet was being stupid.

AOS INTERVIEW (Rescheduled) | 9/22/10 | 1:00pm | Orlando, FL

We arrived at 12:25 and the office was sooooo empty! There was literally one other person there when we arrived. We later found out that they weren't having any Infopass appointments that day, only some rescheduled AOS appointments. By the time we got called at 1:30, there were about 4 other couples there.

Our IO was a friendly young lady and she didn't make us feel nervous at all. She made us raise our right hands and swear in after being seated. She first asked to see our identification, photocopied them, verified a lot of the information in our file like our date of births, the visa I arrived on, past schools, and his employment status. She also verified that the address on file was the one we wanted as our primary.

At this point I asked her if I could change my maiden name to his last name and she said yes of course, and scratched out my last name and wrote his on my file. I was really happy because I DID NOT want to wait 2 years or pay to have it changed!

Our IO then proceeded to ask us:

When we met, describe the scenario

Where was our wedding held

What the business we started is about

The story behind our rings

We also discussed his hospital stay and why he couldn't make it last time. Towards the end (about 10 minutes later) she began to explain the details of a conditional green card (YAY) then asked to see any other evidence we have establishing our marriage. We handed her pictures and the records.

I was never asked all the criminal yes/no questions, and she never took my I-94's or anything.

We received an e-mail at 6:00pm stating that Card Production was ordered! I am so happy I could screaaam!

hmmm...probably :)

Seems like a double or triple check system where the file goes before a couple of folks before it actually goes to print.

We received the "Welcome to America" letter today in the mail. Maybe that is what the first "card/document production ordered" email was about? The letter says we should have the GC within 3 weeks. Looking at others timelines I think that we're going to have it before the end of the month around Sept. 27-28th.

Thanks Beth that will be fun to see all the updates!

We got another email today stating post decision activity. They were verifying that they sent us a letter on the approval. I wonder if that means the GC is in the mail?

I've been checking USCIS website for any updates every single day with no updates since the 13th until yesterday!

My AP and EAD were touched yesterday. AP status hasn't changed since June 29th (still Initial Review), while the website showed EAD card production ordered!!!!!

I am so happy that our case is finally in progress. Can't wait to receive an interview date for our AOS or even any updates!!

Keep us in your prayers!
