YAY!!! We were approved yesterday!

So this is how our interview went: Appointment time 9:50 am. My husband, my 11 yr old daughter and I got there at 9:10. Waited about 30 mins. before they called us in. The IO was very friendly and escorted us to his office. When we were seated, he asked us our names, addresses and DOB. He spent most of the time in silence, flipping through the paperwork and making notes and putting check marks in red ink. He asked to see the originals of some of our documents (didn't even look at all the photo albums we took). He asked some questions about my past marriages.

Then he started asking my daughter about school and what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be an FBI agent, so he went on his computer and printed out the prerequisites to join and gave it to her. He started telling her about his career and handed her one of his awards and asked her to read it aloud. He said to her that if she read it, he would give us our green cards. She started crying and said that she didn't want it to be on her and that she was put under too much pressure. I could not believe her!!! All the time he was printing out a notice about removing the conditions of the green card in two years. He gave my hubby and me the notice to sign( while still looking at my daughter and talking to her). After we signed the notice, he said "we'll it's time to kick you all out! Just remember to change all the info at her school when the card comes") He then escorted us out. That was it!!! I was soooo ecstatic, but my daughter was horrified. She could not stop crying. She said that we embarrassed her!

Congrats! kicking.gif

My case (my wife's case) was transferred to the CSC July 17th. Today I received an email that Card production was ordered on her AOS!!!

How long has it taken you guys to receive the Green Card? She leaves for Korea in 10 days, but I think receiving it by then is pretty optimistic. I'm very happy today though, but I have to leave her for 4.5 months starting next Thursday :(

I still haven't heard anything yet in regards to my biometrics appt. I asked my husband to contact his congressman, but he is stubborn and thinks that because it is less than 30 days since our service request that the congressman won't do anything about it. It is so frustrating on both sides :(

Glad to hear that everyone is getting their approvals and cards :)

Congrats! I'm not sure how long until you'll receive the green card in hand. Try looking at some similar timelines in here.

How frustrating. You can contact the congressman yourself though and at least they would become aware of the situation in their area. When I contacted our Congressman they wanted information directly from my Husband and it was my congressman. My Husband wasn't even in the States yet!

Me too! I also received the letter yesterday. My interview is scheduled for October 12th too!

Great news! Sending our best wishes for both your interviews. :D
