Me too. Walk-in biometrics was so easy. They never ask why.

My husbands biometrics letter was late as well. The good news is that they processed the EAD and AP quickly after his walk-in and he received EAD, AP and his interview date all last week. FYI, there was only touches on his AP, nothing on anything else and only one e-mail. I was surprised when he received the EAD and interview letter on Friday since on the USCIS site it still shows the I - 485 in acceptance phase. Don't let USCIS website freak you out.

He will be off to the DMV and SS office today.

finally! we received AP today. looks like it was approved 8/24 but we only just received it. oh well...thankfully it's in time to buy tickets for my husband's trip home we've been hoping he could take in a couple weeks!

As posted earlier, I had my biometrics today and just got a text message saying that my EAD has been approved today as well. That was fast :) :) :)

Hope they take their time with the interview letter as I will be out of the country until Oct 12th....LOL

Got EAD card production order on the same day that biometrics done. I-485 is touch as well! Things seem moving fast now! Hopefully they will keep going with this speed.

AP and EAD was approved on the same day on September 1, just had another status update with the EAD card production ordered, same as Sept 1 update, but dated September 7th. I got my AP multi-trip hard copy today. :thumbs:

YAY!!! We were approved yesterday!

So this is how our interview went: Appointment time 9:50 am. My husband, my 11 yr old daughter and I got there at 9:10. Waited about 30 mins. before they called us in. The IO was very friendly and escorted us to his office. When we were seated, he asked us our names, addresses and DOB. He spent most of the time in silence, flipping through the paperwork and making notes and putting check marks in red ink. He asked to see the originals of some of our documents (didn't even look at all the photo albums we took).He asked some questions about my past marriages.

Then he started asking my daughter about school and what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be an FBI agent, so he went on his computer and printed out the prerequisites to join and gave it to her. He started telling her about his career and handed her one of his awards and asked her to read it aloud. He said to her that if she read it, he would give us our green cards. She started crying and said that she didn't want it to be on her and that she was put under too much pressure. I could not believe her!!! All the time he was printing out a notice about removing the conditions of the green card in two years. He gave my hubby and me the notice to sign( while still looking at my daughter and talking to her). After we signed the notice, he said "we'll it's time to kick you all out! Just remember to change all the info at her school when the card comes") He then escorted us out. That was it!!! I was soooo ecstatic, but my daughter was horrified. She could not stop crying. She said that we embarrassed her!

finally got my GC in the mail yesterday! (9/7/10)

my interview was on the 25th so it took 2 weeks to get in the mail! (plus it was labor day weekend!)

IM SO HAPPY THAT ITS FINALLY OVER! (for now.)

O i have a question, so i'm going overseas tomorrow to attend my brothers wedding. when i re-enter, do i go stand in the Foreigner line or the citizen line? i can't remember the exact names of the different lines we stand in cuz i haven't left the country in almost 5 years now. lol... but im sure u guys know what i'm talking bout right?? >.<

If I remember correctly, it's the US Citizens & Residents Line.
