Sadly it has her maden name. i am soooo nervous that we don't have jack to show proof but pictures and our marrige licennse. I aam sooooooo nervous for sept 2nd. I have to leave it in gods hands and hope it goes well.

I haven't seen anyone turned down for the reasons, i have or haven't come on here. i hope ours will be ok.

Anyone have any info that we can do? wish somebody from Nevada would come on here LOL

thanks

robert and grace

I just read your post again and just realized your interview is on the 2nd of September. So, getting her name on the electric bill is not an option. Did you get some letters from friends/family attesting your relationship?

BTW, good luck!

Yes i did get some people that attended the wedding as witness to our relationship. The problem with eletric and lease bill is, I live with friends. I do not have any bills, that come in my name. Only cell phone and it is in my name for the both of us. I wish, I would of known and could of added her before the I-94 expired to get all the stuff. We only been married since feb. I hope they understand that. I am going to tell them once we get approved get her a state id she will be on the bank account.

Oh, i remember now. I think you should be fine with what you have.

What cellphone company do you have? The cellphone bills are in my husband's name but i was able to get online about 4 months ago and made some changes so that my name reflects on the cellphone number i'm using.

I have a question for the USC's who went to the interview. On the interview letter is requests us to bring our passport or proof of citizenship. I lost my passport 6 months ago and I haven't filed anything because I was hoping it would turn up by now but it hasn't.

My question is did the IO ask to see the USC's passport during the interview? Do you think it would be alright since mine is lost if I brought my birth certificate?

On the topic of adding the immigrant's name to cell phone bills-- Has anyone had success with this on a Verizon familyshare plan? I spoke with them on the phone to try to get it done but have been told repeatedly it is not an option on the shared plan, which I don't believe. They tell me the only thing they can change is who the bill comes to.

My mom and I have been on a family plan for years. It had her name as both of our phone numbers, as well as the billing info, which at the time was not a problem so we never did anything with it.

When it came time to add the husband to the plan, it worked out that we also put the billing in my name (to get a discount through my job). When they added the third line, it says it is in my name for the third line (husband's line), while my line is in my mother's name, as is her own line, while the billing is in my name. So my husband's name is nowhere on it, but it looks like my mom has two lines.

I don't see why they can't fix it because they can clearly put *my* name on a new line, so why can't they change it? I guess it could just be a broken system, but I know if we do end up having an interview like we expect, we don't have many bills with our names on them together, just a joint bank account and a health insurance card...

Our adjudicator DID ask to see both of our passports. Bring your birth certificate (assuming your were born in the USA) and state issued ID and I think you will be fine. :)

For those who already had their interviews....how many month's worth of bank statements, bills, etc did you bring to the interview (and was asked for)??

I also took two months worth, and he didn't ask for anything specifically, he said "do you have any documents that you wish for us to put on file?" and that was when I gave him our bank statements for two months and offered to give him our insurance documents with both of our names on them which he declined to take.

You have a marriage certificate that shows you are married and if you can get a letter from the people that you are living with stating that the two of you live in their household together as a married couple and share a room, that might suffice. OR it could be just like with John and I and the guy interviewing us just asked if there was anything we wanted to submit. We could have said no and it would have been fine :) Good luck! You guys will be ok!
