Very cool! We just got the email today that his EAD card/document is in production. I logged into the USCIS website to verify and it has jumped from Initial Review to Card/Document Production. So if he wanted to get a job or apply for jobs he could technically do it now. :)

Grats on the EAD! :)

Thanks! Yep he doesn't have to work right now. I don't think it's a good idea to go looking for or getting a job when he's going on a visit to his sister and her family in Baltimore Oct. 30th - Nov. 20th. Anything he is just starting now isn't likely to give him the time off and we've already booked the tickets and his family is expecting him. But if he felt he wanted to work like maybe doing some temp work he could technically do it. :) Good thing your husband is working with you too.

He is in the same situation as I am then :)

I'm planning to go to Japan in Mid Oct for 3 weeks to plan our real wedding. But I may try to go to some interviews because some companies are not in hurry to hire someone but are looking for a great asset who can start working sometimes this year... I know this because I used to work for a staffing agency ;) That all depends on if I want it though :P

I'm so grateful that my husband is supporting me...

continued congrats to everyone! :)

question - do you think it's necessary to wait the full 3 months before calling to check on an AP application? (3 months is the listed processing time for NBC, though the letter said 2-3 months). It's been about 2.5 months since we sent in our app. My honey is really hoping to visit his family mid-late september and we're worried this won't be possible. thanks!
