That's great! :) The updates are inconsistent. I didn't get any touches when they sent me the biometrics letter.

Yep looks like it. Still no touches yet and we got a letter saying they corrected the typographical error. I hope we hear something else soon.

We got an update for you all today. We received a letter from USCIS for the correction of the typographical error on his I765. Still no touches on the case yet.

The good thing about this would be that someone has put hands & eyes on your file. Hopefully you will see an interview notice soon.

I hope so. Do you know how long we should wait to hear something before we call them? Do we call USCIS? I want to make sure we don't miss our interview appoint that may be scheduled for us encase we never get a formal letter. That would be the pits!

I was looking up case processing for AOS on the uscis.gov site and it showed that my local office is taking an average of 4 months. So I don't think we're going to hear anything until September or October. :(

Oh yes, the processing time tables and graphs. I remember watching these at the K-3 time and I am doing the same now. The one that makes me laugh is the "Updated" date will reflect sometime during the current month but the times are for 4-6 weeks prior as per the date above the table. Go to the volume graphs and try to get those numbers to work with the received, completed, awaiting customers etc.

I remember reading on VJ in '08 the write-up from the dude that worked at the Nebraska center. I think that what he confirmed was that at the end of the day it's still just another person doing the work. If all the I's and T's are correct and the money's been taken, the files in the correct format as requested will get completed faster. As much as everyone wants this process to be FIFO that's just not the case.

So they corrected a typo and have the file out, look at it and think it's pretty straight forward and you get a 797 and a date to talk to the locals. Now if you do a Pauly Shore and try a 747 I don't know if the potato people could handle that.

RFE Update: It's for I-864. They want a employment letter with payslips and joint bank statement copies and what appears to be papers showing value of real estate and ownership. I assume they didn't like the appointment letter we sent in and also annuity schedule letter should have counted but they must have missed that. I've posted my interpretation of this RFE on the main AOS board.

Adjustment of Status from K-1 visa.

I don't know if I could be funny like Pauly Shore but you might be surprised at the response by what the people in the city of trees are capable of handling. :D

We spoke to an Immigration Officer at Customer Service and he indicated that they may have missed the letter for our investments. So we'll just submit an updated letter and the other items on our RFE.

I got a two pages RFE for I-864 .My husband makes 16k gross a year in salary and gets 6k a year in his VA service connected disability.I have talked to many people and they said that the USCIS accepted their VA disability compensation ,then why they aren't accepting ours .We submitted his last year IRS tax transcripts and the letter from the VA stating that he gets 6k a year which makes the total 22k but we didn't submit any proof of the current income. The two paged RFE is worded as follows

1. The petitioner/sponsor's income on the federal income tax doesn't meet or exceed 125% of the poverty guideline. The petitioner/sponsor lists their current income on Form I-864 as an amount to be considered as sufficient:however,no evidence has been submitted as proof of current income. Please submit evidence of the petitioner/sponsor's current income. Such evidence should include:

Letter of employment containing the following:

Dates of employment

Nature of the job

Wages or salary earned

Number of hours per week worked

Prospects for future employment and advancement

Pay stubs or other documentation of pay for the previous 6 months

2.Based on the documents submitted with form I-864 affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/sponsor.the income did not meet 125% of the federal poverty line for the petitioner/sponsor household size. Submit evidence of assets that meet the federal poverty line or obtain a joint sponsor. Such evidence of assets should include

Bank statements covering the last 12 months, or a statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution in which the sponsor has deposits, including deposit/withdrawal history for the last 12 months, and current balance.

Evidence of ownership and value of stocks, bonds, and certificates of deposit, and dates acquired.

Evidence of ownership and value/equity of other personal property and dates acquired.

Evidence of ownership and equity of any real estate and dates acquired.

A joint sponsor will need to file another Form I-864 .provide copies of the most recent Federal Income tax returns, and evidence of their status as a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Please help as we don't know what to do .All the replies are highly appreciated .......
