Yay!! I did receive an interview letter - Aug 16th Mon - today Jul 17. But it's kinda strange that the Interview Letter was dated July 13, but USCIS received my RFE docs last July 14, it was resumed July 15, wierd ha? So which, mean USCIS have already the interview letter/date all in awhile. Interesting!!

Anyways, I have a dilemna now. I have an important class for my work on Aug 16. So which mean, I have to postpone this class and look other class for my work. I heard that you dont have to postpone the schedule interview date, or else, later on, you might be in trouble.

Second any guidelines on AOS interview, specially in San Francisco?

Good luck to everyone!!

Haha, whatever the reason, that's excellent news! For some reason I've been seeing a LOT of interview appointments for the 16th of August recently. But whatever you do, only postpone the interview as a LAST RESORT. If you can reschedule the class, then by all means, reschedule. I've heard of some success stories, but most have resulted in chaos.

Congrats again :)

We got an RFE dated today, I am pretty sure it wil be for tax transcripts. I could not find the copies I had made for the K-1 visa and had to order more but went ahead and sent off the paper work to at least start the process.

Kabhatti keep us posted on what it was for

Ok, got the letter, wasn't our fault, it was for the I-693 part 5 where the civil surgeon is supposed to sign and didn't or it's incomplete. So I'm gonna call the doc this morning and I guess it'll be another trip about an hour's distance away to get that fixed. I still think this is a bargain cause the CS charged only $25 for transcribing our immunization report, even if we have to go again.

I have been trying to figure out how you guys knew you were touched on the uscis.gov site.

I also registered for it to get updates and it doesn't give much information except for where you're at in the process. We show we're still in initial review stage.

Then I realized you must be logging in everyday and seeing you were touched by when it shows it was last updated. If the date changes that means you were touched?

That's when I realized we were touched on 7/16 the day after our biometrics appointment. They much have just updated us for biometrics.

Haha, it took me a while too to get it too

But yep, that's how you know you've been touched. I wouldn't pay attention to the blue circles that show where you are... I swear they only update it when they receive your package, get an RFE, or order card production.

Welcome! & Hah, seems a lot of people are confused about being touched :)

Here's how to know:

"Set up an account here: https://egov.uscis.g.../jsps/login.jsp enter the NOA numbers and it will create a "portfolio" for you. If the numbers can't be found, be patient. Now that you have the biometrics letter the numbers should be available online.. but as was said above, sometimes it takes a while."

OH MY GOODNESSSSS...

so i've been trippin over this AOS stuff cuz i haven't heard from them since my june 30th biometrics.

i JUST went to check my mail and BAM! my INTERVIEW LETTER was in the mail!

i haven't been sent a RFE. does that mean all the documentations i sent was correct and they were able to proceed?

the letter is titled "Request for Applicant to appear for initial interview". and is set for 25th of August.

is this the important interview where they decide if they approve or deny my case? and if they do approve, does it mean that i will be getting my GC? if i am approved, how long does it usually take for me to receive the GC in the mail?

and one more question! i've been married for over 2 years before i actually sent in my AOS due to me going through depression plus financial reasons. does this mean i get the 10year gc or 2 year gc?

i am SO EXCITED my heart is POUNDING <3

sorry for asking so many questions. and thank you in advance!!

this is my timeline btw:

AOS package sent: June 4

First NOA : June 9

Biometrics : June 30

Interview letter: July 12(notice date)

Interview date : August 25

Omg congrats hun!! Yes it means everything is good and you'll know whether your case is approved at the interview, and when to expect your GC. I think it takes up to 30 days to receive it after they order the card production.

& Yup, 10 year GC for you!

Congrats again!
