Darn it, checked the online status and see that we have an RFE coming as of July 13th. Hoping it's not the full medical request, cause we did the immunization part correctly. Is it still possible to get and RFE after getting the Biometrics Letter and having done a sucessful walk in Biometrics Appointment?

We got an RFE dated today, I am pretty sure it wil be for tax transcripts. I could not find the copies I had made for the K-1 visa and had to order more but went ahead and sent off the paper work to at least start the process.

Kabhatti keep us posted on what it was for

We finally got our biometrics letter today and the appointment is scheduled for August 9 ... Of course it would have to be when we're scheduled to be out of town! :( I wasn't too fussed though as I've always intended on doing a walk-in appointment anyway (there are several success stories about walk-ins at this office). I figured that since I had the notice and an afternoon to kill, I might as well go today (okay, maybe jumping the gun a little but we've been waiting for so long...!) The office was pretty much empty when I got there. I went up to the counter and told the security officer or whatever he is the situation (my husband and I are going on our honeymoon the first two weeks of August). I asked him if it would be possible to get it out of the way sooner rather than asking for a reschedule. He just stared at me and said impatiently, "We absolutely can't help you today." I was kind of shocked at how rude he was, so I asked him if it was because it was just too busy today and he replied, "Come back at the beginning of August" ... totally not answering my question. I then re-iterated our situation and he just stared at me for a moment before yelling over to his colleague, "When does Blahblah come back from vacation?" The other person replied, "The first week of August". He looked at me again and said, "You'll have to come back the first week of August". So, I left emptyhanded and incredibly upset. I don't think it's a good idea to attempt it again, as it's clear the office is understaffed (which really shouldn't be my problem but clearly is ... I guess that's why it took so long to get the biometrics letter in the first place!). I seriously feel so discouraged! Dan and I haven't been able to go on a honeymoon as he's in university and now we're going to have to cancel our plans for stupid USCIS ... blarglajkeflkje. So frustrating.

/rant -- sorry everyone, like I said, I'm just feeling a little discouraged!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, that really sucks. I would try to write the director or who ever is the administrative authority to complain about your treatment there, I love these govt employees that make you feel like you are inconveniencing them for asking them to do their jobs, when after all the get paid from your taxes..... anywho. They should be held accountable to do their job in a respectful and professional manor. It's like you try to do this process the way the govt wants and they punish you for following the rules, I def see the incentive in coming and working in the US illegally.

I hope something breaks for you two so you can enjoy a honeymoon, If it makes you feel better Zhanna and my wedding had to be thrown together and we still haven't had a honeymoon to because of this process, and other stuff.

Keep you chin up, feel free vent when you need.

I've read of some people going to a different office because they were out of state at the time etc. Is there another office close enough that it would be worth it to try? That really sucks that they couldn't help you.

We got the biometrics letter the other day. We are scheduled to go in Portland on August 6th. That's great news, Congrats hon! :)

Just a side note, the NOA2/biometrics in your signature confused me at first lol. That's because the NOA2 is the decision notice at the end, not the biometrics.

I thought you were approved in a few weeks, haha! :bonk:

Same to you hon, thanks for the best wishes :)

Yay!! I did receive an interview letter - Aug 16th Mon - today Jul 17. But it's kinda strange that the Interview Letter was dated July 13, but USCIS received my RFE docs last July 14, it was resumed July 15, wierd ha? So which, mean USCIS have already the interview letter/date all in awhile. Interesting!!

Anyways, I have a dilemna now. I have an important class for my work on Aug 16. So which mean, I have to postpone this class and look other class for my work. I heard that you dont have to postpone the schedule interview date, or else, later on, you might be in trouble.

Second any guidelines on AOS interview, specially in San Francisco?

Good luck to everyone!!
