I'm thinking out loud here, but could the RFE be for not providing a certified copy of our Marriage Certificate? If so, is that the same as a notarized copy?

I'm not sure, hon

We went to our biometrics appointment.

...

One step closer :)

We're thrilled to report that our RFE was delivered today at 4:59 PM . It was signed for by C Buchholz (I guess it doesn't matter if you waive the signature? lol)

We're praying that they get back our case PRONTO!

Our RFE was received yesterday. A touched was received today via text/email, stating that that AOS process was resumed after receving the RFE documents and it is the National Benefits Center. My question is : "what is National Benefits Center?" what is transfer to that center? Does anyone have the same situation, when USCIS received the REF docs? Thanks.. and good luck to everyone

Yay for you! I HOPE they resume our case tomorrow.

But the NBC is in Lee's Summit, MO. That's the place they mentioned on your NOA ("Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the National Benefits Center for processing").

Clarification: Per USCIS website, checked status online, AOS process was resumed and it is in the National Benefits Center. What is the National Benefits Center? Where is this center? Did they transger to this center? Does anyone have the same situation? Thanks

Thanks for your quick response. I didnt realized that it was in Lee's Summit. I am at work and I dont have the copy of the RFE letter. But thanks a lot for your immediate response.

Dont worry, your case will be resumed anytime soon like ours. Hope our case will be transferred to CSC soon.. THNKS

Strangest thing happened today with our email confirmations/text updates.

I received not 1, not 2, but *6* USCIS Acceptance Confirmations. So that's three confirmations overall for each form.

Exact same ones we received back on the 6th of this month. But twice this time.

Um. Okay?

I'll laugh if we get 6 more NOA1's in the mail in the next few days. Laugh, and then proceed to worry that something's gone wrong.

The same thing happened to us and everyone else. They sent you two emails/text messages per NOA1. Pay attention that each notice has a different case number. Congrats on the NOA1's :)

Oh, and you're only going to receive 3 NOA1 letters in the mail :)

We went to our biometrics appointment. The place was nearly empty when we first came inside. It was good we showed up early because there were 50+ people that came in after us for the oath ceremony going on and they all had to go through security like we do at the airport. He had to fill out a paper and turn it into a box. Then a guy took it and called his name. They took him back in a room where I couldn't go and he said they took his finger prints and a photograph. He was asking the guy questions and the guy gave him answers but wanted him to ask the ladies at the window the questions. He got him a number and we waited for it to be called.

He first asked them how long until he gets his EAD. The lady asked for his ID card and looked him up in the computer and told us it would be 90 days from the day we filed which put it at September 17th. Then he told her the biometrics person told him his green card would be mailed to him and he asked if that was true. She looked at her computer again and shook her head and said, "No, you will have an interview in 3-4 months from today." That puts us somewhere in October or November for the AOS interview.

Congrats on the successful biometrics appointment, Olivia! I hope you get a sooner interview date!

Ah, but it was three emails & three texts per NOA1 though- 1 per on the actual NOA date, July 6, and 2 per this morning, July 16, well after we've already received the paper NOAs!). It was more the over a week apart thing that seemed odd! Hehe.

They had us all excited that something new was happening, and noooo, they're just reminding me, twice, that they got our forms. Yippee *twirls finger* :P

Hi guys, Thought I would say hello as it's been a while since I've been on the site!

We filed our AoS at the beginning of june and I have done biometrics recently! How exciting! I found out today that our case was transferred to CSC on the 12th July which I believe is a good thing! I was worried because I only sent DS-3025 and not the 693 that is asked for, so I hope this doesn't cause any hiccups!

I wish everyone a good journey with their AoS and good luck to everyone who has interviews soon. :D

Your I-129f was approved in 138 days from your NOA1 date. [4months 2 weeks and 2days!]

29/04/09: I129f Sent.
