We got our biometrics letter yesterday for July 15th at 1pm. Can he just do a walk in appointment before then?

Also on his work authorization NOA I noticed they put his middle initial as S instead of M. He has three middle names and on all the ID's and applications so far it's been M. as the one that shows up.

So does this make a difference or do we need to notify them to correct it?

Yay for the biometrics letter! I personally would just do it as is, since the 15th is next week. But that's just me. *shrug* There's no harm in trying to get it done before the actual date, though. :)

Hang in there! Hopefully you'll get it tomorrow. :)

Hi guys,

It's been a week since the last time I visited this thread. I already got our biometrics schedule last Monday

@Cleocatra, I knew that you'll get your NOA1 that day.

We got our biometrics letter too. I'm already getting nervous because it's happening so fast and we haven't even collected and organized all our evidence yet.

You're right it is next week! It all seems so fast to me. Maybe because of the holiday delay it just seems faster since we just got the letter? Now the interview will come soon.

I some questions guys.

1. I came here on K3. When can I apply for SSN? after I receive my GC?

2. What is INFOPASS? Do I need to have this if I will walk-in?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all of us!

Hey!

I read that a K-3 visa holder has to wait to get their EAD/GC in order to obtain a SSN. If you use your EAD then it will be restricted.

And nope, you don't need to schedule an Infopass in order to do the walk-in. Just bring your biometrics letter & I.D. Hopefully they'll take you! :)

We've decided to try and go for our walk in biometrics this afternoon, we're going later in the day, after all the morning rush has passed and it's nearly quitting time for the staff. The facility is about 1/2 hour away so it's not that far that if it things don't work out.

Well, I did update that between patients and phone calls this morning, so if there are inaccuracies, PLEASE let me know and I will fix it. Sorry it took me so long to update. Been very busy at work, at home, been sick, and the heat is just atrocious!

So nice to see all the updates and everyone's cases progressing! Looking forward to seeing more cases being transferred to the CSC.

There was someone I was unable to add to the list, as there was not enough information for me to do so. If you guys haven't done so already, update your time lines if you have started one already :). And if you haven't done one ... just know that it is beneficial to everyone that uses this forum for the time lines to be entered, because that is what VJ uses to "guesstimate" when your case will be adjudicated/approved. :luv:

Hi all,

I am joining this thread since I sent my paperwork in May 27, it was received June 1 and I received my NOAs on June 7 by email/text and hard copies on June 11th.

I am a little concerned because I have not received my biometric appointment yet. I called and put in a service request, and they said the will request USCIS to schedule it for me and I should hear in 45 days!!! I have no idea why it is taking so long. It says they process them in the order they are received, and some people who have filed after me have already had theirs done.

Trying not to stress...anyone else out there had a similar problem? For those of you who have received your appointment notices, did you get an email or text notification that it was scheduled or did the letter just show up in the mail?

Welcome! I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received your biometrics appt. as yet :( I've seen a few others in the forums with the same situation but I haven't seen a solution.

I didn't receive an online notification, just the physical letter.

YAYYYY! We just got back from our walk in biometrics, the lady almost kinda gave us a bit of an eyebrow but took us in. She just asked why we can't make the scheduled date.... Their last scheduled appointment today was 3:15 and we showed up right after that. Wow, next stop Philadelphia for the Interview.
