Good afternoon, I'm currently in JA, I attended my husband interview on 6/4 He was approve pending verification of his police record from the Bahamas due to the fact he was there for 1 year. Now we are in the process of mailing the required documents to the Bahamas to obtain a copy of his police record and than we could call the JA US embassy to submit the docs. I want to know how far away does it take the embassy to give another appointment for a blue slip.Thank you in advance for your feedback....

Be careful! It may take more than a month to get the police certificate from the Bahamas...

It seems to me that you sit around and just wait to find things wrong with everyone's comments i really don't say much on here but everytime i read your post it is always negative. That is my opinion.

Excuse me, but she stated in the post above ^^^^^^^ 12 months. So I was quite confuse as to why you were questioning the 12 months statement. Keep your attitude in check..........

What ah ring bam bam ba eh, when di two sevens clash? Straight passe passe in ya. Lets just spread the and stay in tack with the purpose of this site is to help each other out in our long, expensive, time consuming journey. Apart from that, Bless, confirm with the Bahamian police how long will it take to process the certificate and purchase a prepaid UPS or whatever courier label to help speed up the process.

I know Bahamas is not Cayman but I thought I would share what I experienced with Cayman. I filled out the form. Sent it via DHL with a prepaid DHL receipt for the return to the Cayman Islands Police Department. They had said 7-10 working days to have it ready, but it seemed they had completed it within 4 days. It was DHL that held me up. So I say stay on top of the courier service. Luckily while I was visiting my husband in the US in May I had taken the DHL airway bill receipt and my debit card receipt(to show I paid) with me. When I began tracking down the police clearance with the CI PDept, I was told it was sent off already. When I had a friend check with DHL they told me there was no record of payment. HUH? I quickly scanned the docs and sent it to them and it was returned to my contact in Jamaica during my absence the next day. Good luck with Bahamas. Cheer up!

Hello, yes he was there for 11 to 12 months, The police record will be ready next week and a new appointment has been set for July 13th, the phone rep said we could call once a week to see if they have an earlier appointment but I'm just going to wait it out, his friend in the Bahamas will pick it up and bring it to him on July 6, but if not I told him to have his friend send it by Fed-ex because I don't won't no mess when the 13th rolls around.
