My husband filed his I-485 a little while back and received an RFE for two items. My problem is that there is another item that was missing from his I-485 (forgot to send in the medical report) and that wasn't even on the RFE list.

Should we send it off with the other two RFE items or wait until we get another RFE for it? I'm a bit hesitant sending it when it was not requested by the RFE letter since it's not like we can open the envelope and make copies of it in case they lose it, you know?

What's everyone's opinion? Thanks!

Wow that is a hard choice to make!

Part of me think you should send it in, but then I keep thinking how that would screw things up like how we were at the NVC stage of the journey and submitting stuff in without them asking...

I think you should wait for the actual RFE for it. Just like you said, what if they lose it????blink.gif

Thanks, that's what I thought as well. I just don't want him to get into trouble for not including it in the first place. I guess since it's done and he has it all ready to send hopefully there won't be an issue. Kind of suprised it didn't get him an RFE though, though to be honest the form didn't say "RFE" it just said "Request for Initial Evidence" which would be RIE I guess.

Read the RFE carefully - I think you must have since you have already picked out two items, but others have found the formatting is sometimes confusing enough that they are asking for more than one thing and it gets missed.

Can you tell us more about your medical situation? Were all of his vaccinations complete at the time of the overseas medical? Was that completed within a year of your application for adjustment?

Oops, I see you are a K-3 and entered over two years ago.

I agree with the above, I wouldn't send it in unless they ask for it, and be sure they didn't ask for it. You'll have it ready if there's an AOS interview.

I read it a few times and it only asked for supporting documentation for the tax returns and for his bith certificate in Arabic (we only sent the English version the first time around).

If I get too nervous about it I guess we can make an infopass. He actually got vaccinated twice...once in egypt and then once here since we waited too long to file the aos stuff.

Thanks everyone for all your help! I haven't been around here in a long while but it's nice to know there's a place where you can come to and get answers so quickly :)
