I like to start this topic for VJ members whose spouse have / will have interview there.

So we can share the VFS and embassy information. It will help every one of us.

Wow... I just read Amit-N-Melody's experience at the NWD embassy in the other thread. That is bad. I didn't even know there was such a thing as AP until just now.

My sympathies are with you Amit-N-Melody. Hopefully it will work itself out soon. Hang in there and enjoy being with each other until the embassy does its thing.

My understanding was that the petitioning spouse was not allowed to attend the interview in consulates in India. So it is interesting to note that you were both allowed in.

Perhaps the region-specific forums may be more helpful for you.

My wife will have a NWD interview in July so I can only provide a meaningful input next month.

May I also suggest other forums (sorry VJ!) like murthy.com or immigration.com that may have more information on consulates in India.

initial enterd at 7 45 am

all was well

simple ques like how is invinting u there her name job whn she went there our cosponsor splllll abt them name their job our relation to them n post marriage pics..................SHE KEPT MY VISA N TOLD ME THAT THEY WL CALL ME .....UNDER ADMN PROCESS...

I like to know your experience with VFS offices for Delhi embassy.

I have no information what document they require from a beneficiary to submit.

There are 3 VFS offices - Delhi, Chandigarh, Jalandhar.

Here is the list from other VFS offices - PLEASE MAKE THE CORRECTION TO THE LIST

1. DS230, Part I and II.

2. Interview Letter.

3. Marriage Certificate. (Photocopy)

4. Police certificates. (Photocopy)

5. Birth certificates. (Photocopy)

6. Rs. 387/- DHL courier fees.

7. Medical Report.

8. 2 US Passport size pictures.

9. Original Passport.

10. Photocopy of EVERY page of the your passport

Here is what VFS email told me to do for DELHI Embassy-

You need to submit the courier fee for 387/-Rs (each applicant) with the below mentioned documents:

1) Passport (original & photocopy)

2) Interview Letter

3) 3 Photographs (as per visa specification)

4) other relevant documents mentioned in your packet 4 (If required)

5) Medical report

Please look at it and let me know if missed some

i am also in the same boat. me and my spouse went together to new delhi embassy for IR1 interview second time. they kept passport and said visa approved but i am waiting since 6 weeks. its frustating. my spouse is missing me so much.

uuuugh you are not alone, so this makes atleast 3 of us from the New Delhi Embassy that are under AP... I hate waitng

Yes, NWD is a high-fraud Embassy and male beneficiaries routinely undergo AP, as opposed to Chennai and Mumbai in India.

Usually, the AP is on the shorter side, 4-6, weeks as opposed to Islamabad or HCMC.
