I am looking for those who has actually used NOA2 and MNL case# for medical. Please only reply if you have done this from experience and not just because you heard it's true. The USEM website says only Appointment Letter to bring so that's why I am trying to confirm this. Thanks!

MY INTERVIEW DATE IS JULY 8,2010 at 8:30AM but WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE FOR AUGUST!

You should have at least the interview date. Print the letter that the embassy would email you when you set you interview date and use that plus your passport. You can set your medical a week or 2 prior interview just to be safe.

My wife, Anna, used a copy of our NOA2 plus the MNL Case Number for her and Gabby. The guard accepted it a sufficient proof of pending interview.

We were K-1ers and we did the same thing. My then-fiancée used her NOA2 and her MNL# for her medical. It's a good thing that she did not wait for an email from the Embassy, because they never sent one...ever!

We went shortly after receiving our NVC case number and NOA2....presenting both to SLMC......have NEVER seen our medical appointment letter!!!!!!

Something you should be aware of.....

your SLMC completed medical is only valid for 3 months.

If it takes more time than that to get your interview....you will need to re-take the medical and pay the $$$$ again!

Yeah bummer...but thats the way it is.

If you have done a good job on your NVC paperwork and don't receive any RFEs...then you should have an interview well within the 3 month timeframe.

I would say go for the interview anyway.....just on the outside chance they make you do the TB sputum/culture test.

It will take 8 weeks to complete and they will not finish the medical until the culture results are returned negative.

I would rather take a chance of paying a bit extra if the medical expires than risk waiting an extra 2 months for the culture results.

God Bless!
