You jackel, Hamas was elected to power by the people. Is your memory so feeble? Hamas isn't holding Palestinian hostage. It's holding an IDF soldiers a hostage. Lol. You silly.

The goal of the blockade is to collectively punish the Palestinian people into submission of Israeli wills, namely total annihlation of Arabs in Palestine. Those Arabs are so stupid for not going to their national suicide quickly. How dare they want to live and with dignity, with hospitals, schools, and work, and other such things like that.

The list was compiled by Gisha, an Israeli humanitarian outfit campaigning for freedom of movement of Palestinians. Gisha says the list is “approximate and partial” and “changes from time to time” since it’s based on information gleaned from local traders, international organizations and the Palestinian Coordination Committee. Some items that have been prohibited at one point or the other, in random order:

Chocolate, potato chips, fresh meat, size A4 paper, writing implements, chicks, donkeys.

A twist to the story: The information these secondary sources provide is based on guesswork. Each group guesses at what goods are allowed in and what aren’t according to their own experiences requesting Israeli authorities permission to bring the same into Gaza. Gisha says it’s not possible to verify the list because Israeli authorities refuse to disclose information regarding the restrictions on transferring goods into Gaza.

The Associated Press created a tongue-in-cheek info graphic based on the list, comparing prohibited and permitted items, that I spotted on The Economist website.
