K1 Visa Fee going down???

Did I read that right? The fee for the K1 Visa is going down to $350 from $455??? And it takes affect less than a week after I sent ours in??? Gggggrrrrrrrr. Oh, well small price to pay.

No. 455 is the initial filing fee. The visa issuance fee went up from 113 to 350.

No you didn`t read right, you payed 455 to USCIS to process the I-129 and it`s not going down. You will pay the 350 to the embassy to issue the visa after your fiancee`s interwiew and it went up from 131 to 350!

exactly! my bad I switched around the numbers by accident. 131 is what it used to be :thumbs:

So I did. Night meds are working a little too well I guess, lol. Still sucks the fee went up but nothing to be done about that.

i know, it sucks but like somebody else said in another thread they know we`d pay anything to be with our loved ones!:)

i know, it sucks but like somebody else said in another thread they know we`d pay anything to be with our loved ones!:)

I'm just to thankful for this site and its helpful members. I can't imagine us trying to make heads or tails of all of this on our own.

Hang on .. there is petition fee, also visa fee.

Never the same thing.

$455 is for the K-1 Pettion. K-1 visa went up from $131 to $350.

TIMELINE

FEBRUARY 27,2009 - Meet

MARCH 27,2009 - Flew to Ghana to meet Evans and his family

APRIL 8,2009 - Returned to USA

FEBRUARY 10,2010 - I-129F sent to Vermont

FEBRUARY 16,2010 - Received NOA 1 ( Hard Copy)

FEBRUARY 16,2010 - touched

NONE- RFE received

MAY 21,2010 - Touched

MAY 21,2010 - NOA2 received (EMAIL)

MAY 26,2010 - NOA 2 received hard copy

MAY 26,2010 - NVC received

June 10,2010 - NVC sent to Embassy of Ghana

June 14,2010 - EMBASSY received (got an e-mail after sending them an e-mail)

June 23rd - July 2nd - Going to Ghana

July 28,2010 - Packet 3 & 4

November 9,2010 - Medicals

November 15,2010 - Vaccinations (4 shots. the next 2 shots are on the 14th)

December 21,2010 - Interview

March 31,2011 - 2nd Interview

?? - Visa pick-up date

?? - EVANS arrival

?? - Apply for SSN

?? - Get married

?? - Start AOS process
