Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone that has gone thru the London embassy been refused a visa for the K-1 visa?

My fiance'e was wondering if she should give notice at her job if it clears CSC by the end of June or early July, she has to give 3 months notice at her work (it in her contract) but she is worried that if she does give notice and then doesn't get a visa that she will not only be without me but be out of a job as well. Does this ever happen? She is a teacher and has no criminal record and there shouldn't be any red flags from are relationship, she just does want to be suck there without a job if everything doesn't go right.

I would be greatful for any input!

Based on the limited above knowledge about your case/relationship, my amateur advice is that your fiancee should not have a problem. London is not a particularly tough consulate ... assuming your relationship is real and you can comply with the basic principles of the I-129F/K-1 process (for a start, you've met in person in the last two years). The only thing I can think of is that we've seen some people's cases being delayed when their partner in the UK was not born in the UK. If that doesn't apply to you, then I have confidence in your situation.

Another thing worth mentioning is that once the K-1 visa is actually issued, it has a six-month validity. So, to be on the REALLY safe side, your fiancee could wait until the visa is actually issued, then immediately give her notice of resignation and use the visa three months later.

I guess if I were you, I wouldn't want to wait
