I am doing my walking. Right now that's all that I have energy for :lol: The fact is, I take care of 2 5-year olds and a newborn when I get home. No time for the gym. When 8pm rolls around I just want to collapse.

I'm not saying don't excercise or don't be active. I'm saying build it up slowly. Don't go from sitting in the office, followed by sitting in the car, followed by sitting on the couch, to a spinning class. It's not good for you. Build up slowly is all I'm saying.

The more important thing is to vary the routine, sometimes called, "cross-training". If you keep the muscles in a state of confusion, then they can't adapt to your routine.

2nd week of diet done... lost 4 lbs so far :dance:

I'm doing it the slow way, eating enough calories because of breastfeeding. I feel so much healthier though, just from cutting out all the ####### from my diet. I did have some oreos today after I donated blood though :lol: it was a treat.

For dinner:

Brown rice seasoned with garlic, onion powder, and a little salt... tilapia fillet and asparagus in a light butter-lemon & parsley sauce... mmmm

Woohoo!! Doing good. Having oreos after giving blood is just good for you. ;) They suggest cookies, right? :dance:

Way to go on the 4 pounds!!! Tonight I am doing the 7th day in a row at the gym. Lots going on the weekend after next. I am already starting to feel better and I THINK I look more tone. My husband says he can't tell a difference. :wacko:

He did go out and buy some cheap exercise equipment to use while I am at the gym. So now he spends about 10 minutes a day doing pushups and assisted situps... interesting. B-)

Lots of good tips in here, but does anyone have a motivation/will power pill I can have. I need some major help I've started using 8 inch plates to help make sure I eat less and I try to load it up with veggies. I'm a very fussy eater, there's really not alot I like in the veggie department. Although as bad as most taste to me maybe I should take a bite of something and that should ruin my appetite for the day. At the moment I have been trying to do more exercise in hope I can burn more calories then I take in but its not working so well. I haven't lost much maybe a few pounds. OK I'm off to try and burn off some calories.

I have a problem with appetite too. What I find is if I eat a lot of veggies, high fiber and protein foods and complex carbs I'm not hungry as much. Also if you drink a lot of water it helps, since a lot of the time when you feel hungry you're actually just thirsty.

You'll get used to cutting down your portion size. It's been 2 weeks and I just started feeling satisfied with my meals.

Snack on some protein, like cheese or yogurt and then fill up on watermelon - it really is a superfood.

Sweet, juicy watermelon is actually packed with some of the most important antioxidants in nature. Watermelon is an excellent source of vitamin C and a very good source of vitamin A, notably through its concentration of beta-carotene. Pink watermelon is also a source of the potent carotenoid antioxidant, lycopene.

Also good for circulation and heart health are almonds and blueberries. If you like creamy coffee, try substituting almond milk which is very low calorie.

Beta Carotene is suspected to increase the risk for lung cancer.

I'm going to have to get some watermelon, so far this week 1.1 lbs, Not bad for what I ate too.

Someone mentioned food sensitivities I have quite a few of them, do you really think it helps to cut them out. I mean I have alot of food that Ive been told I'm allergic too but I still eat them. There's not much left for me too eat if I cut them all out.

this is a nice refreshing drink you can make using watermelon..

Mexican Watermelon Agua Fresca - 1 Ww Point Recipe

There are stands throughout Mexico that sell this refreshing fruit drink. You can store Agua Fresca up to 4 days in the fridge.

SERVES 6

* 8 cups seedless watermelon, cut into chunks

* 1 cup cold water

* 2 tablespoons sugar

* 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

* 6 small watermelon wedges, for garnish

1. Combine 4 cups of the watermelon cubes and 1/2 cup of the water in a blender and puree. Press the mixture through a sieve set over a medium bowl. Pour into a large pitcher. Repeat with the remaining watermelon and water.

2. Add the sugar and lime juice to the pitcher; stir until the sugar is dissolved.

3. Pour the aqua fresca into 6 ice-filled glasses. Garnish each drink with a watermelon wedge.

*I like adding some of the pulp back in...
