me and my husband have our own FaceBook account.. we know each others password too

it's a matter of trust and communication as a couple..and we both set privacy so not

all friends can view our profile..

there are more bigger issues to deal with in a couples relationship

facebook is one way to connect with relatives and friends back home.

i think we just need an open mind with an open heart.

Good luck to May on her nursing boards. It is worth all of the work that she is putting into it. Does she plan on taking the NCLEX when she is in the U.S.? It's cheaper here...$200 vs. $400.

My wife passed her boards a few years ago in Pinas, and she passed the NCLEX on her first try when she took it last September here in Seattle...75 questions in an hour and a half! She's now working here as an RN.

i certainly understand your concerns about privacy. additionally, i'd think that posting pics online should be a mutual decision. i've seen some pretty interesting things done in the past with pics posted online, so i see your side of it.

however, i also see her side of it too - that about you not wanting pics posted may give her the impression you don't want to be seen with her (silly, i know, but just put the shoe on the other foot and see it from her side).

maybe you could both compromise and you review the privacy settings of her account to insure that only people who are your friends can see the pics, and also to stop linking the pics as plenty of people can see the pics then?

So is I understand everything correctly, May's taking the boards in July and then if she passes we go down to NY for her to take the oath. Then she has to try and take the CGFNS.. They only offer that 2x a year I think.. I'm not sure how willing she is to take it in November.. Then she has to take the NCLEX, when she is ready, and then finally she can be an RN here in Connecticut. Woohoo! :dance:

I'm not forcing her to work right away or anything.. I really just want her to be able to do something where she can make friends.. You can't really do that just staying at home.. So here's to additional journeys ahead..

like i said, i don't trust websites with how much they state they are secure, so blocking people on my friends list has nothing to do with the issue. I've been warned by banks that even their servers have been hacked into. ....now, don't you think that a bank would have better security than a social website? what i'm talking about are those hacking individuals out there, not my fb fam members or friends.

and to make a long story short...things are resolved and i'm keeping my account.

Jared...I was wondering...why doesn't May apply to take her NCLEX through a state which does not require CGFNS, saving herself all the trouble of the CGFNS requirements? When she passes her NCLEX through another state, it's probably a lot easier to transfer her license to Connecticut than it is to go through all the CGFNS requirements in Connecticut. And if she passes her boards, it should open up new options for her regarding the number of states she can apply to take the NCLEX through( and avoid CGFNS).

That is where I like my fiancee...we dont go into those details..she does what she wants with her fb and YM and I do what I want with my fb and YM. Of course I respect her and dont flirt around. I hope she is doing the same..those small details can screw any relationship..but then again that is my 2 cents.
