submitting passport without letter

my wife called the delhi embassy and guess what they answered telephone this time and gave her good news that they already mailed her a letter to send her passport. they say they sent the letter on 25th may. but my wife has not got it yet. but the lady said she could take her passport to vfs office closer to her without letter and tell them that she called the embassy and they said to submit the passport at vfs office.. any body know if they will take passport without letter? or should she directly go to new delhi embassy to submit the passport. will they let her in at the embassy? and i am pretty sure they asked for the passport to stamp her visa. she had her field investigation 2 weeks back. anybody with same experience pl share. good luck to everybody in ap

your wife had a field visit? what did this involve? When did your wife have her interview?

she dint have a visit . they called many people from her village to confirm marriage and also called my wife asking questions about our marriage. they also called relatives from my side. her interview was on march 3rd.

are u also in ap? they do come visit too. i guess it depends on the case. good luck 2 u

Ohh I thought what you were refferring to was a field vist... Yes, my Hubby is also in AP from the New Delhi Consulate...Thank you and Good Luck to you also!
