I have yet to send in my I864, but I just found out that the person who is going to co sponsor us will be going into foreclosure in the next few months. Will this make her ineligible to be our co-sponsor????

Also, We have everything ready for the ds230 and would like to send it in, but have yet to recive the package in the mail. do we have to wait or an we send it now? and what is the address that we send it to?

Thank you

In regards to your DS230 question, no you don't need to wait for them to send you something. That could delay you for weeks on end. Have a read please: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

About your I-864, does your co-sponsor make more than the 125% poverty guideline for their household plus your foreign SO? That link also has the address to send the forms to.

Yes she does make over 125% for her household size plus my husband, and she has had a steady job for the past 30 years. Do you think the forclosure will hurt us, even though she fits all the requirements?

I'm not sure. If she isn't using her house as an asset, it won't be mentioned on the I-864. I wish I could be of more help. Hopefully someone else will come along and answer your question.

no, unless the person used the house as part of the assets to complete the amount needed. if it was based on her income, then no. the forclosure has nothing to do on how much she earned on her taxes. you would need to worry if the person lost the job.
