So I've been sorta following this thread and I just thought I'd put in my two cents.

My fiance was here for a two week visit from June 11-25. We'd been planning the engagement and the visa process for ages but this was the offical proposal visit (!!!!!) so it was really hard to let him go at the end of it. :( Anyway since then I've completely immersed myself in preparing his k-1 petition and I just finally finished the first rough draft! I'm kinda excited and really proud of it because its such a meticulous, nit-picky project. I was telling one of my (civilian, lol) friends about it and she made an interesting point that I wanted to share. While it does really really suck to have to go through this whole process of being apart and dealing with the k-1 thing, it is going to be really nice when its all over and we all end up with an incredibly detailed documentation of the beginning and progression of our relationship? As long as we get our happy ending, all the paperwork involved with this process is going to make for a really nice memento that we can look back on when we're old and married.

Because we all know that after countless hours of research and compiling of paperwork and other evidence there's no way I'll have the heart to throw all this stuff away when I'm finished with it!

Anyway, thats what I try to keep in mind when dealing with the stress of having my Fiance live over 3,000 miles away!

I would have to say my favorite photo is of Bryan is with Sammy (our rescued puppy we drove two hours in a snow storm to get). Even though I can hear his grumblings about getting kisses from her, you can see in his face the pure joy of her love for him......He is like that for all those who met him since we first began our relationship, even with me and my love for him. Its like its amazing to him that he is so lucky......The only problem I have with that.....I am the truly lucky one.

You can stand me at the gates of hell, but I wont back down.
