There WERE some great and greasy chips I ate before taking the food porn. There was also a tiny vase of flowers, much like the one SOMEONE took from someone else's used room service tray the other night to accompany cup o cake...innocent.gif

At least I didn't try to eat the leftovers!!

Hey everyone! That was Maven's first-ever peameal bacon!! Congratulations, Maven. You can now join the club of hey-THAT'S-not-Canadian-bacon sayers. :)

Forgive my Canadian ignorance, I am new at such things, but I just had a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich at Harvey's. Does this have any significance? It was fine, I enjoyed that it was a real fried egg, but the bacon was definitely American, unfortunately.

My wife raves about Harvey's. I've eaten there a few times. Meh.

I liked the burgers there, but the milkshakes didn't do anything for me.

I had my first Hero Burger a few weeks ago. Not too fancy, but pretty tasty. Peameal bacon on a bacon cheeseburger throws you off at first if you're not expecting it, but all in all, 'twas good. :)

The burgers rock, though the onion rings and fries suck. Even their gravy doesn't taste that great. But damn the burgers are yummy.

They had looked into opening a few chains here in the US in trial market areas, but apparently the test places didn't go over to well or something. I know St. Louis was one of the cities of a possible expansion along with others closer to Canada.

I'm surprised though that they don't open a few in Florida or Los Angeles where there's a huge massive Canadian snowbird/immigration population. You'd think they would have a lot of business there...

Meh, I'm the Canadian and I don't like Harveys.

I don't know why my parents love it so much.

Ta muchly everyone. The sandwich was fine, but it's kind of weird to eat a breakfast sarnie off a hamburger bun. Still, it was acceptable and better than a McMuffin.

Hold the phone here!

I'm confused now, what do you mean american bacon? Do you mean like in the picture below? That is Canadian bacon, our bacon is no different than the U.S. version :hehe:
