I'm glad to hear your appointment was breezy, but that is NOT the rule. My appointment was on Fri, Jun 4th. They did NOT let my husband in with me. Then they gave me a tiny paper marked "Name" on it and put me and two other girls in the corner. Everyone who came after us had already left, when finally the security guy told us that the three of us were waiting for some senior officer lady, who had to come out and "clear" us, as there must be a problem with us, since we are in that corner. Turned out it was the fact that we had married name on our application, and no ID with it (duh! I'm applying for one - GC). Anyway, the lady came out 10 min (!) before the office was closing. My appointment was at 3 pm, we got there at 2:15. She came out at 3:50pm. It took her literally one minute for each of us to sign our stuff and send us over to the actual picture/fingerprint thing. I was SO mad. An hour and a half of sitting and waiting, while she could have come out like 3 times! Make it every 30 min, lady!

I came out of there at 3:58 to find my poor husband sleeping in the car.

Oh, and to the OP: I didn't get my biometrics appointment letter for almost a month either after the NOA date. And it was scheduled for a date three weeks later. It was driving me crazy! Good luck to you!

Biometrics appointment was super quick and easy. We got there an hour early and they didn't say anything about our appointment time. They just wanted to see the letter. After checking in, we didn't even make it to the waiting chairs before they called his number. (Side note: I spent 2 1/2 hours at social security today for myself, a citizen!) At the application support center, there was no line and just one form to fill out. I would suggest to try to go as soon as you get that letter. I feel like we delayed things a month by not knowing that we could go early. At worst, they tell you no, right? It's right off of 635 between Dallas and Garland so it's easy to get to. Good luck!

Update: we got the email/text update today saying the case has been transferred to CSC for processing. While good...we still haven't gotten the biometrics letter!!! Is it possible we will still get it after it's already been transferred? Or should I be calling USCIS asking for a service request?? Help!

First of all, congrats! No interview for you it seems like:) Who cares about biometrics?? LOL just kidding, USCIS won't put in a service request before 30 days from NOA1...it should come any day now! Wait until next Tuesday and give them a call if nothing has happened by then. I know waiting is a pain but having your case at CSC is a very good thing. Good luck! :star:

Yes, we're excited about being transferred to CSC. Just paranoid about the biometrics (see the original post for this thread)...ha. I will try to relax, seriously. I'm just a worrier. Hoping it will show up tomorrow...

Ok, I may be just in panic mode and people will tell me to relax...but I don't want to find out what happens if you don't show up for your biometrics appointment!

Literally everyone I have followed here on VJ that filed their AOS in May has received their biometrics appointment letter, usually within a week or less of filing the paperwork. My husband & I filed on May 10, NOA was May 17. I realize we are well within processing times, but since everyone else has gotten theirs I'm concerned. We also recently got a new mail carrier, and while our last one was aware that my husband lives here, apparently he never added his name to the mailbox, just always delivered his mail. His name has been added now, but I am extremely paranoid that the letter was returned to USCIS somewhere in there due to this change of mail carrier.

I have tried calling the post office (they could only tell me that unless the name is in the mailbox, it will probably be returned, and that we have had a rotating cast of mail carriers lately since they are trying to find someone to permanently replace ours, so the likelihood we could speak to a mail carrier who might remember returning the letter is low). I called USCIS national line and spoke to someone who clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, since he said that the online system will update and tell us when the letter has been mailed. I called a random Dallas USCIS office (can't find a number for the actual Irving office we will have to go to!) and they could only tell me to call the national line...

So I guess my question is this: does anyone have any experience not receiving the letter/not showing up to biometrics because you didn't know about it? Is there ANY WAY to find out if/when my husband's appointment is, of if it has even been scheduled? According to the timelines I have seen here, most people who filed around the same time as us have biometrics in the next week or two...I'd really prefer not to miss it. Any advice? Or am I just being a big paranoid freak?

Biometrics must to be done after recieving ASC APPOINTMENT NOTICE, if you have that kind of notice , you can read the appointment date is to the right hand corner of the letter, and people do Biometrics Walk In , is the one with

ASC APPOINTMENT NOTICE, walk In means you do it before your Appointment Date Scheduled, if you don't have that, you may call the NCSC at 1-800-375-5283, there you will know if they scheduled the Boimetrics appointment for you, you may try to walk in if you find out that there is schedule but maybe lost in the mail, if that so , you can bring your first NOA letter proving that your case is on Process. wish you the best, there is nothing wrong in trying if you can get through of it.

Right, we never got the letter. I have tried calling that number and they can't actually tell me if it's been scheduled, only that I can wait until it's been more than 30 days and then I can call again and initiate a service request. So...we wait until next week. Hopefully it will appear sometime soon on its own! We'll see.

Hi All , getting rather frustrated , we received our NOA's for AOS and EAD a while ago , official notice date on them are 24 May 2010. Looks like there were touches on the 27th of May. To date still no biometrics leter received , when I called USCIS the case update says that the cases have been sent to Lee's Summit, Missouri NRC , what does this mean ? Anyone else around this date received their Biometrics letters yet ? Thank you :)

Hi Wiz -

Check out the earlier threads in this topic - it took a full 3.5 weeks for us to get biometrics after we got the NOAs. I think everyone's case is initially sent to Missouri for processing (that's why the receipt number is MSC - Missouri Service Center.) Hope it comes for you soon but try not to worry yet (I know, I know...rich coming from me since this whole thread is me panicking about not receiving it yet!!) :)

That's where all cases are until they are transferred to either CSC or to a local office for interview. So no worries :)

Also, I suggest you wait all next week because their limit is 30 days from the NOA unfortunately. Don't worry, it will get to you next week I'm sure!

As I think I explained in one other post it is kind of useless to call before approaching the 30 day mark, so just try to relax because as of now looks like there is nothing wrong with your case
