Question about the DS 230

Hi, to anyone who went through the CR1/IR1 process, please let me know if I'm missing something.

1. Cover sheet

2. Certified copy (NSO copy) of birth certificate

3. Photocopy of Birth Certificate

4. Certified copy (NSO copy) of marriage certificate

5. Photocopy of marriage certificate

6. Photocopy of passport

7. NBI clearance in married name

8. NBI clearance in maiden name

9. photocopies of the NBI clearances

10. 2 pcs. of 2x2 colored photos with name and NVC number at the back

Questions:

Should I bring another set of this for my interview or will the US embassy in Manila use the packet I sent to NVC?

What else should I bring to the interview? I know that I should bring documents that will prove we're married like joint bank accounts, joint lease contracts, pictures etc.

Please find enclosed the following documents:

□ Bar-coded cover sheet

□ Completed and signed form DS-230, Part 1, by the beneficiary

□ Completed and unsigned form DS-230, Part 2

□ Four Passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary

□ NSO - Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary

□ NSO - Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner

□ Original Certified NBI police certificate(s) /local police clearances of the beneficiary

□ Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

Also enclosed are photocopies of the following documents:

□ NSO - Certified birth certificate of the beneficiary

□ NSO - Certified marriage certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner

□ Original Certified NBI police certificate(s) /local police clearances of the beneficiary

□ Photocopy of the biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport

We had a copy of all documents (for the interview) sent in support of the I-130 and NVC processing.

Although all documentation sent should be in the packet the Manila Consulate receives... Better to have

a backup copy in case they lose something. If they do and you can't produce the document,,, Your visa

will be held up until the documentation requirement is satisfied.

did you send two NBI clearances? the one in maiden name and the other in married name?

I'm assuming i only need to submit the one in my married name since the clearance will include my maiden name.

I only sent her NBI in her married name and it was fine.

The NSO Marriage Certificate, is that the NSO Copy of the Marriage Contract or the CERMAR (what married persons get when applying for a CENOMAR)?

We had included the NSO Marriage Contract for the I-130 Petition and to NVC with the DS-230. Anna got a CERMAR from NSO shortly before her interview and it was a good thing. At the end of her interview the IO said he just needed verify our marriage with NSO so she presented the CERMAR and he responded with the PINK slip!
