his visa also had his A# written very clearly in the passport.

just wish the GC would get here already. the SSC was easy to get.

My friend came with a CR-2 visa on 6/15/2010. She only received her GC couple of days ago. Hope this gives you some insight how fast they're moving with new GCs.

03/27/2009: Engaged in Ithaca, New York.
08/17/2009: Wedding in Calcutta, India.
09/29/2009: I-130 NOA1
01/25/2010: I-130 NOA2
03/23/2010: Case completed.
05/12/2010: CR-1 interview at Mumbai, India.
05/20/2010: US Entry, Chicago.
03/01/2012: ROC NOA1.
03/26/2012: Biometrics completed.
12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

53 days, dang!!!! it's long!

but apprently you don't even need the SS# to register for school. just the visa in the passport. but you prolly don't need the GC to get a job. so no biggy if we wait! yeah!

Hello Guys,

I have few problem as well.My POE was June 9 Chicago Ohare and it has been almost 2 months that i did not received welcome letter , GC and SSN yet after one month later we went to apply SSN card but the officer told us he cant help bec i m not in their system then we back home and called USCIS talked to person she got my Register number(Alien number) 2 weeks ago but i still did not get a welcome letter or GC

Do i have to call them again or i need to wait for another week any advice pls ?

by the way i went to local SSA office and applied for SSN and got a receipt i will get it within 2 weeks...

I have a question now

we also checked the boxes in DS 230 form is that possible that i might have 2 different of SSN ?

I m worried of it
