Received approval letter in the mail 8th of July.
Decision date 7/3/13, the same day my service request was answered via email. The online status remains as "initial review."

ROC total review/decision time = 260 days.

Congratulations groovyaardvark!! Isn't it such a relief??!! I too just received a text & email that my Card/Document is in Production! whoo!! whoo!!

Am so excited beyond words!!! I applied in January after getting my divorce paper work in July of last year so the process just took about 6 months!!!!

Anybody want to update me, am a California filer.

Thanks Gummibear. I was not expecting anything as i have heard waivers due to divorce take a longer time so i was pleasantly surprised! I have also been following a thread on this forum (January filers) and realized i got approved the same time as them. It goes to show it depends on the amount of evidence you have and the situation that lead to the divorce for waivers (i wrote a long letter to USCIS explaining the reasons for my divorce as they were beyond my control).

Yeah I also wrote a 5-page letter to summarize our relationship from day 1. I am worried because I don't have any joint credit card or joint tax return since the time we lived together is less than 1 year. But I do have some other creative evidences like my therapist's letter and conversation with his ex that can help them know his true ego and relationship pattern. Hopefully my case will get approved just as fast as yours !

As long as you can show your relationship was genuine with all the evidences am sure all will be well. It was not a must but i also included 2 notarized affidavits from people who knew us both. Are you using a lawyer? At first i did not want to as they are expensive but decided it was the best move for me as this was/is very important in determining my continued stay here in the USA. Am actually glad i did use a lawyer as my lawyer was very knowledgeable & efficient. It might have cost me an arm & leg but it was worth it in the end as i did not get any RFE!

Every case is different of course but for what its worth, I did not explain my divorce at all and was approved.

Only time it is mentioned is in the opening sentence of my cover letter. "I am formally requesting a waiver to file a joint petition on the basis of divorce."

November 28 2012 - divorced, InfoPass appointment and BIO, handed them my divorce decree.

May 8, 2013 RFE. asked for divorce decree (lol) and address clarification nd more evidence.

July 8 2013 responded to RFE

still waiting... I'm afraid they will take too long to get my interview and\or GC and my old one expires:((

Hello. Would like to ask you guys how long it took to cash them the fee(check/money order)? I sent my i-751 on Aug. 26. and received them on Aug. 28, 2013. Today is Sept. 5 and still haven't withdraw my fee(check). i sent to them. I'm kinda worried. By the way, the payment check was from my husband...

Good day everyone. It seems there are a lot of experienced people here on I-751's. I have a Waiver Request Filing case which is a little complicated because in the state where my wife and I live getting a divorce decree takes more than a year and the I-751 90 days periods is coming soon, so I'm not sure what to do or what option I should select on Part 2.
