Hi Everyone!!

Wow i had no idea that this thread was started! Thank you to whoever did it.

I sent my Waiver I751 packet last Thursday (21st April) and, thru tracking, know it got to CSC on 23rd April. they still havent cashed my cheque though- Ive never wanted someone to cashmy cheque so much before

How long did it take on average, you guys to have yours cashed?

Its very uplifting to see sho many succes stories! I submitted about 6 inches of evidence but im still worried. I see that some people got an answer within 3 months! I wonder what the average is though (im guessing 6)

Anyways Add me to the list and im glad to have found this

Hello everyone..

I have been watching this thread lately...Its a great thread Thanks everyone for sharing their experiences and information. It looks like I am also going to join you guys soon. I got married in Sep 2009.. Got my conditional GC in Aug 2010.. Unfortunately things went south recently.. Decided to get divorced...

I am filing the divorce petition next week. I was Planning for uncontested no-fault divorce... Just want to get over it as soon as possible even though faults can be brought up. I was wondering if any of the clauses on the divorce decree helps with the I-751 good faith waiver ...

If there is any fault grounds like abandonment or emotional cruelty specified on the decree, does that provide any additional strength to the I-751 case.. For I-751, I am planning to do the good faith waiver... Dont have much proofs for abused spouse based I-751....

Would appreciate any thoughts from anyone

Thanks much

sorry to hear... I know how difficult this is. the only thing I can say is it gets better with time.

personally I prefer a no-fault divorce... why dig into all the problems? are you strong enough to go there? I wasn't. all I want is to get this ended and try to forget the mess and sadness of all this.

sometimes marriages just don't work... USCIS knows that. everyone knows that and it's fine. I don't think bringing messy fights "helps" the cause. you can just say it didn't work, which I assume is true. I am not suggesting you lie or hide things, but for the sake of your sanity, sometimes it's best to just go with no fault. I am happy I did although I can say I was abandoned :(

good luck.

Thanks for your response

I am planning to go with a no-fault divorce... But I was wondering, does it make a difference for USCIS in making a decision regarding my I-751 on what grounds the divorce was.. whether it was no-fault or contested.. and who filed for the divorce(me or her)....

Im not sure...how does that work?

I may just stick with the appointment time as I have to let my work know...

I heard VSC was taking quite a while to get the bio lettes out (over 30 days) so im thankful CSC actually seem to be working faster. Lets just hope an approval comes soon too :)

Well, its just some ASC place lets you take your fingerprints before your scheduled date. Some places dont really look at the date and time on the letter and just process your fp's. It sometimes speeds up the process. For example you go to get fp's processed tomorrow instead of waiting till the 24th, that means you killed the 2 week waiting for the bio.

no... they will just pull your records and update the bio .. Many people do that.. It all depends on the application support center, the officer who is at the door etc.. I had tried it for my AOS.. they send me back asking to come on the exact date...
