My case appears to be really dragging - my timeline is way behind everyone else's. With a biometrics date of 9/3/2010 and based upon the 6 month processing timeframe, I'd say I'm behind. Maybe I'll give my attorney a call to see what's going on but congratulations to all those who've been approved.

03/29/11 ..... received a letter from USCIS saying that my file has been transferred to my local office and as soon as a date is available i ll be scheduled for an interview, kinna scared about it? does anyone know how the interviews are ?

And the day after I post that my case is dragging, I get notification that my interview is scheduled for April 12th. The evidence and detailed file appears to be sufficient since i haven't received an RFE. Hopefully, things will go smoothly.

Question about which divorce record to send USCIS:

I got a "Judgement of Divorce" (non-oficial) xerox copy from my ex's lawyer by mail this week. I am expecting an RFE as I did not send any divorce certificate with my original application.

The state government website says there are 2 types of divorce records:

1) Divorce Decree: document prepared by the court setting forth the terms and conditions of the divorce. It's signed by the judge and filed with the County Clerk.

2) Divorce Certificate: contains basic information about the husband and wife, date and place of marriage ended.

My question: Will the RFE from USCIS require 1) OR 2) above?

In any case, can I send a xerox or does it HAS to be an ORIGINAL copy? It is costly to get them, etc. I don't even have the original for the Judgement of Divorce as my ex's lawyer got it, I would have to order it from the County Clerk. If a Certificate is the one required, I would also have to order it (if USCIS wants an original one, I would have to order 2 copies one for myself too). I assume they would want one that explains what happened better (in my case, 1-year Separation Agreement prior to divorce).

Hi guys new here.

here is my timeline..

Married 9/2008

was on H1b

applied for AOS: 3/2010

approved AOS: 7/2010

I-751

Separated 01/2011

Divorce finalized 3/16/2011

Mailed I-751 to VSC 4/6/2011

Received at AOS: 4/8/2011

Questions:

We moved from Oklahoma to Nevada in december 2010 and filed an onlie AR-11

After Seperation I moved back to Oklahoma and filed another AR-11

I-751 has my current address in Oklahoma.

Any issues regarding this?

I am planning on moving to a different state in 2 months for a job and planning on filling AR-11 and of course call the 1-800 number. How does the processing go as far as address changes?

This is what I think I know. Please correct me if I am wrong? Once the I-751 waiver is filed, biometrics done, the packet gets transferred to local field office from VSC? Then the I/O at the local office decides to call for an interview or not?

Hi Charlie84,

My interview went well - I didn't get an answer on the day but received my approval letter today. The date on the approval letter was dated 4/12 so the immigration officer was exercising caution. She was a very pleasant lady who was sympathetic to my situation.
