my lawyer said she received my receipt ("with automatic one year extension) - she must be talking about NOA. I didn't receive it yet.

good thing to have a lawyer who will be receiving your notifications as well.

Mar. 2011: I-751 waiver petition sent (divorce decree missing); decree rcvd' & sent: Apr. 2011

Oct. 2011: permanent GC approved (no interview); rcvd': Dec. 2011

Dec. 2013 - Citizenship application N-400 (90 days to 5 yr. LPR)

Sorry, I deleted my personal data / timeline info because of a crazy person/stalker in the site - you never know what a disturbed person can do...

Today I received a "Notice of Requirement to File Joint Petition to Remove the Conditional Basis of an Alien's Permanent Resident Status... failure to do so may result in the automatic termination of your Status. And there is a file no. at the end of the notice.

I would like to know why am I receiving this notice as I've filed for waiver on Jan 8, 2011 and biometrics done on March 3.

I-751 Waiver Timeline:

1/08/2011 - Sent I-751 to CSC

1/10/2011 - Package received by CSC

1/12/2011 - Check cleared

1/15/2011 - NOA receipt dated 1/10/2011

2/10/2011 - Rec'd biometrics appt notice dated 2/3/2011

3/03/2011 - Biometrics appt.

4/25/2011 - Card Production ordered

4/29/2011 - Card Received

Done with USCIS.

Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You! To everyone on this board for helping me keep sanity.

Today my ROC Waiver journey came to an end. The people I have made close friends with here and who have

supported me throughout my divorce and through all my ups and downs are now friends that I can continue to share

my lifes triumphs and sorrows with.

I may be from a Nation that is not so far away, but over the course of these past years, the United States has become my new home.

And it is one that I will continue to support and pledge my allegiance to.

And without further ado! Since I dont know how to update the sheet properly, Yurika & Jim if you can do the honors.

I received today the appt. notice for 04/04/2011 Biometrics. On this letter is the EAC number that can be added to your USCIS online portfolio - which I did. It says there it is under initial review.

My update: (VSC)

P.S.: I am expecting to get a RFE for my divorce decree, but hopefully will have it in hands by then as apparently a judge granted it in the last days.

Does anyone know how long does it take to get a divorce decree in hands from the day it is approved by judge in NY?

wow I just noticed the Biometrics was booked for a place that is SUPER distant from my house and from work... like a 40 minutes subway from work :s when there are other centers that are 10 min from my house or from work. can I do a walk in in a nearby Center or does it have to be the center in my notice???

oh thanks phinus ;) also thanks for the reply. it's great so I have an idea - I did not know if it could take 1 week or 6 months to get the decree. so even if I am in another state it should not take that long. crossing fingers to have it when I am sent a RFE...

I also wonder how long it takes the Center to send a RFE for the div. decree... is it months or should I expect it soon? does anyone have an idea?

My case appears to be really dragging - my timeline is way behind everyone else's. With a biometrics date of 9/3/2010 and based upon the 6 month processing timeframe, I'd say I'm behind. Maybe I'll give my attorney a call to see what's going on but congratulations to all those who've been approved.
