Some Vermont filers got their card approved in less than 4 months!!! I think at least 5 people. It is greattttt but how come??? Did Vermont officers used to be that fast? They might move their a$$ super slow these days.

Here is blue123's initial denial (later approved) reason...

Denied waiver 10/26 reason that I have not sent them proof of divorce. I sent them final judgement of dissolution of marriage which is the divorce decree, thats all I can get, I asked court to send me a copy of my divorce decree they sent another final judgement which they said is the divorce decree, so USCIS are not reading it correctly. I have now got an immigration lawyer who has petitioned to have case reopened.

Yes, 2 years ago, CSC's processing time was about 1-3 months, VSC's was 3-5 months...

I filed I-751 based on divorce. Filed early August 2012, Noa dated August 9th, biometrics September 1st. I haven't heard anything until May 19th when I recieved a RFE from Vermont. They asked me to send them my final divorce decree, which had been mailed to them with the original package. My guess they either lost it or just missed it in 300 pages of evidence of bona fide marriage i provided. The waiting game goes on.

Does anyone know if I receive a RFE (or any other communication)- if it is mailed to me or my lawyer?

like how many days it took from filing to approving of the green card

I would even update the list if you are okay with it

I only received a RFE, no interview was scheduled.

@Cr1Visa I had my case filed by a lawyer. My lawyer received the NOA and had to send it to me. B in case with the RFE I was the one who recieved it. My lawyer was very suprised that she didn't get it though

Hi guys. I have some very good news. I received an RFE around the start of may asking for proof of my divorce (final papers), proof of joint bank accounts, a statement regarding our wedding etc. I received the final divorce documents around the 10th of June. I mailed it all off and it was delivered at the Cali USCIS office on 06/25/12.

I was shocked to open my mail today (7/7/12) and find an approval letter and my new 10 year green card inside. I didn't get called for an interview or anything

I'm, going to the pub to celebrate. I hope this is encouraging news for others in the same situation.

I'm approved now. I got the approval letter and 10 year visa in the mail yesterday
