After a bit of info here.

I have my biometrics appt on june 9th, but today i just looked up my case status on the uscis website and it is now saying a request for evidence.

My question is will this affect my EAD or only my AOS?

And does anyone have any idea/examples of RFE questions they ask??

Thanks

Gregg

Gregg,

I experience that too recently and Get A head Ache, while waiting for the RFE, but when I recieved it , i found out , not intentionaly I forgot to Add the Part 7 page 5 of I -864, Because it's Optional, they ask me that, You will recieved a notice , telling what they need you to do , YOU Must Act Quickly , response them Immediately, Because at this time your A O S, process is on HOLD, that is the E-mail I recieved from them , but After recieving my response Just yesterday June 2 they Resumed my A O S processing, which they Comfirm me today, thru Notice E- mail. Good Luck, wait to R F E and send back to them exactly what the notice, INSTRUCTION.

RFE's can be anything, from an I-864 missing info (like tax statements), or incorrect info (say a birthday wrong or something), or an I-693 not being sent when it's needed. You honestly won't know until you receive it.

The story goes that EVERYTHING is on hold until you respond to the RFE but it's usually a negligible amount of time. I say "story" because I don't think anyone really knows for sure. If someone has proof somewhere that an AOS RFE affects EAD I'd like to see it, but I think it does as the AP and EAD are dependant on the AOS.

RFEs stop everything in the process, until they are resolved. So yes it affects everything.
