today i was with my fiancee at embassy . thank god we got approved already , but just i see people here say some thing about they got a pink slip , my quiz is :

1 ) what the pink slip mean ?

2 ) i see my case in a pink file , does the mean some thing bad or good ? or its just a file ?

The pink slip is a worksheet or checklist that the CO uses to make sure everything that is required has been met... once all of the boxes are checked and the CO is satisfied.. the visa is granted... else a blue, green or white slip.. the colorsmay vary fromone consulate to another..

The color of the folder means nothing really IMO...

in the philippines, the pink slip is a form for visa delivery, so even if the CO did not tell you that you were approved, once he gave you a pink slip, then it means you are approved...

The Embassy in Egypt may not HAVE a pink slip. Everything varies by Embassy. My (now) husband was given a blue piece of paper just saying to come pick up his passport a week after the interview (Nairobi does not mail you your passport/visa, you MUST come pick it up.) Don't worry about getting any slip at all, just focus on what the CO tells you to do.

If you do get a slip of paper it would be directly handed to you at the interview, not put in a folder or anything else. Don't worry about it - just do what the CO says in order to get the visa. Check with others who have gone through your Embassy/consulate - they will tell you more specifically what EGYPT does.

the councler tell my fiancee i will get my visa in 2 weeks , but just we afraid of them to put me in ap !!!

Im looking at your timeline which shows that on Jul. 1, they cancelled the visa w/o prejudice and are sending it back to Washington. So does this mean that after they approve it during the interview, they can still deny later???? Any experience on this VJers?

ya cuse they had a thing call counsler general review and they do all that to try to find any thing 2 deny , when i was there i see them try to make hard for every one like they dont wanna do they work , any way i got a mail last night they said the uscis got it and its waiting to be proseecing for further review , god be with us
