Ginger ale & saltine crackers. But make sure it's the ginger ale that's made with real ginger. Also she should try to eat dry stuff, nothing saucy. I would recommend rice, potatoes, bread, anything starchy and dry. Toast is really good too. When she DOES feel good, make sure she eats a lot and stays hydrated. I lost 20 lbs in the 1st 3 months of pregnancy because of morning sickness. It was a nightmare.

It's rough, she's still going to feel queasy but at least this might help a little. Before she gets out of bed in the morning tell her to eat a few saltines while she's still laying down. Also tell her not to brush her teeth right away. The result is gross If it doesn't get better and she can't keep anything down, tell the doc. They may be able to give her a safe medication that helps with the nausea, but they don't like to do that unless it's severe.

John - my friend ate crystallized ginger when she was pregnant. she said it helped with her morning sickness.

instead of ginger ale: just buy some real ginger, chop it up, take about a tea spoon full and pour hot water over it, leave ginger in water and just add a little bit of new one and more hot water as you drink it during the day. if she wants it sweetened: use brown sugar or honey.

another tip: before she gets out of bed in the morning: she should eat some saltines or dry toast, that helped with my cousin...
