Hon, you know it was her time. My nephew was killed at 21. I tried to make so many deals with God, when I got the phone call that his truck had been in a bad accident, and they thought that he was in it. I have lead a very interesting life, and he should have had the chance to do half of what I had done. I would have gladly given up all that I have been, just for him to have a chance. It wasn't my choice.

I am so sorry to hear about your nephew. (F) I made many deals with God when my Grandmother passed but when Mom went I only asked for the pain to end or my life to end. I know how selfish it is to want Mom around a bit longer only to see her slowly disintegrate but I still want her with me. In my heart I always feel that if I had a little more time I could save her, I could bring her back.

No, I am not. Every day is a test. But, I believe that everyone else is at least my equal, and I was born into a good life. I got the easy street. That is not fair, but I can help others out. And that is what I do.

Then you are passing and doing a great job, whether you think so or not. You have taken it into your heart to help out and that is more than many of your station can say.

If I gave up, then I wouldn't be seeking medical attention and supplicating like crazy. I haven't given up, not by a long shot. I have been trying to impose my will on my grief. This is only one aspect of it.

Thank you for the words about my nephew. Nothing can change what happened, it was God's will or whatever. I am always going to believe it was completely unfair and unwarranted. However, these are things we need to accept. It is not up to us, and it is not our fault. As much pain as we go through (and my heart still bleeds for my sister - I can't even fathom her pain in losing her youngest son) we have to still live life. Carla has learned to do it. It has not been easy, and we have done everything we can - a minor thing, but my parents are having their 50th anniversary in November, because the actual date in October is Shaun's birthday. We still need to celebrate life's moments. It is short, but wonderful.

Life is very much a wonderful experience. I can't imagine what your Sister must be feeling, my heart really goes out to her, but as Mom's sickness took hold, she changed from being my Mother to being my Daughter. It sounds crazy but that's what it felt like. The rest of the family doesn't feel the loss in quite the same way that I do so they don't quite understand what it feels like to go through day after day feeling as thought the brakes are always on or the clutch keeps slipping. I always remember Mom as Superwoman in a pantsuit and not what she eventually became.

This is why I love the piety of Saint Fancis of Assisi and his statement, "Preach the Gospels at all times, and at times use words if necessary." Isn't that beautiful?! 5, quit the Words and cowardice and live abundantly. We on C4C aren't buying your humility-guise. Yet, we are listening to YOU! Help people...because comisserating is your sin, but your blessing is in your faith!
