you go on vacation to be better. stop being a wimp and just do it! you will NEVER EVER get out of this unless you just suck it up and try to get out of it! right now it seems like you're happy being miserable.

Your offer is very tempting but I'd be one thousand times worse than your sister. I'm usually a "let's go see"-type but I've got the thousand-yard stare going on so I wouldn't be much fun. I really can't take a vacation from myself, no matter how much I wish that I could. I fly into rages for reasons that I don't understand , I do things that I would never have done before and I just feel "off" in most things that I do.

I have tried to get back in my normal rhythm, I am not in the habit of going to sleep at 5AM, but I think of Mom in the morning and can't get out of bed. I have certain obligations that I must fulfill and I have had more than a few incidences where I felt trapped. I live here but this isn't my home. I am most definitely not happy being miserable but I'm trying to figure out how to solve the problem, otherwise I'll just feel lousy, even on vacation.
