Hi,

My wifes biometrics appointment is later today, are there any forms needed to fill out and take with us? She thought she read somewhere that form is needed. I told her that all I think she needs is her SSN, appointment letter and passport. Do we need to take anything else?

Thanks and God bless!

You're good to go; I don't know if the SSN is on any of the forms for biometrics; my wife didn't need it.

Also the Marriage certificate would be good to have.

Her passport only has her unmarried name but the marriage certificate shows the name change.

It would be an inconvenience not to have it if required; if they don't ask for it so much the better.

She did a walk in and was even armed with a doctor's note explaining that if she went on the

appointed date, she would then be recuperating from foot surgery and it would be physically a problem.

They had no problem with the walk-in but in a busy center the note would have come in handy.

You do have some forms to fill out but they will provide to you at the station. Take all her ID's, letter and passport. She needs passport as ID to get inside the building. Our appt. took 15 minutes! very simple

:)

best wishes

You MIGHT need the passport to get in the building. I say might because I did not.

I needed my passport when I arrived at the biometrics appt but they didn't bother asking for confirmation of my "new" name... now i think about it I find it odd he compared my passport to my letter when my name isn't the same... weird.

You won't need the SSN. That's completely irrelevant to the process.

There is a form to fill in when you get there, please read my biometrics review here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/page__view__findpost__p__3909156 which should tell you what to expect.
